[monk gearing for inferno] Am i ready?

Just as the tittle says, do you think i could start act 1 with these stats? any help would be greatly appreciated

the following stats are un-buffed, so no enchantress or any other class or skills inflating this.

    Class: Monk

    HP: 42.569
    DPS: 10989
    Armor: 5009
    Res: 488
    Dodge Chance: 33.72%
    Crit Dmg + 108%
    Crit Chance: 8%

    Life on hit: 372
    Life Regeneration(second) 577

finding if difficult to find any physi res + all res, or simply a good all res equip to pull myself above 500 i am keeping my eye open on the forums for trades and the AH but no luck yet, im currently farming Act3 Hell, havnt tried to progress in Act4 yet past the libary of fate, played around up there without much trouble though.#=

my build is as follows: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...dhi!UgX!ababaZ

i have heard of peopel starting inferno with worse stats but im just over-cautious and would like a general consensious of if you guys and gals would view this as ready or where i should go to improve (other than resists)

You can do and complete Act 1 if you're fairly adept at handling tough situations. I would say 600 AR is about the point where you start to feel really tough, and 700-800 AR is when you're pretty much un-killable provided that you don't botch something really hard (I'm talking about disconnecting while standing on the balls of 5 Arcane beams).

Go for Transcendence instead of Combination Strike so you can spam your abilities to heal yourself, and maybe consider Mantra of Conviction if you're feeling that things are a little too easy.

Re: [monk gearing for inferno] Am i ready?

thanks alot, i am aiming for 600 res but its got to the point where all drops now are worse or simply equal to my gear, except from my rings and amulet there all ilvl60-63.

i've personally always over-looked Transcendence but i guess it is actually alot of life gained once calculated, ill test that tonight definatly thanks for that pointer.

well looks like ill be attempting to beat hell tonight, on that note is the dashing strike stun rune still a viable method to pretty much lock the big red bady down?

Test the waters out, and work on some of the easier elites in weeping hollows. if that goes well, move onto the cyrpts and so forth.

I would say you could very well do a1 without too much issue depending on the elites you get thrown at you.

just remember, it is easier to remake the game than lose character.... also dark berserkers are the devil.... ive lost 4 characters to them alone

Re: [monk gearing for inferno] Am i ready?

Thanks for the tip on the berserkers there Korn, i will keep my wits about me with those, aswell as everything else. i am a very slow player in terms of progressing i.e. i have no problem (and enjoy!, thats right enjoy!) farming the same part over and over to gear up.

the first time i really had a close call was in hell Act1 where i got too cocky and waded into a cellar and blocked myself in...managed to kite well enough to spot a root out but man, my heart was thumping! so safe to say i will be staying out of any blue shiny holes for a while

making 100% certain i have an esacpae root or use the bridges against the charging beats of death in the fields as there my pet hate, infact i might even chicken out at that point.

if the first part goes well then ill slowly go deeper but i think if im managing to get the fields of strife (or w/e there called) done without having a few heart attacks then ill farm that part for a little while, hopefully get the res over 500 atleast, eventually.

Get earth ally instead of wind. His taunt will allways take one Elite off your back. What res are you? Maybe I have some stuff for you. Add me up.

No, he is quite awesome to be honest. A monk friend of mine got into inferno like three weeks ago and struggled alot tanking in a 3/4 man group. Picking the Earth Ally helped him alot. In a Act I farming run he might needed to resummon him once or twice.

I'm surprised you don't have Near Death Experience and Blinding Flash. My monk is 45, so not quite there yet, but Blinding Flash is probably my favorite skill to use.

Also, how do you escape a bad situation without Tempest Rush?

also, why do you have combination strike when you only have 1 spirit generator?
