I think its a given that she is the best because of the armour buff.
Mine is loaded with INT gear (if she dies she dies) but that's because I didn't want to shell out on INT/VIT gear, never had a problem with her dying all over the place, you should be taking the hits for her
Anyone tried giving her a dagger with INT instead of a 2h staff for faster attack speeds, maybe with cold damage or a beneficial CC?
The templar is good for classes with no built-in heals, when they're at low gear levels (no life on hit or life/sec). Since barbs have two excellent built in heals, the templar is pretty much never worth using when compared the the enchantress.
I noticed no-one has even considered the scoundrel. Having never used, im wondering if hes viable at all, even for other classes. He seems viable for some sort of life steal crit build for a DH or wizard, but he should be in the discussion if only so we can discard him utterly.
On the other hand, there could be cool scoundrel combo that no-one knows about yet.
scoundrel with a cold bow and multishot is nice but from hell onwards I felt the armour buff to much more useful especially with melee chars, my DH is running around with that combo for the near perma-snare and extra crit but feel again I'll be back with the enchantress for the speed/armour..
The things I've read said the Enchantress armor buff is 15% but my math says it's 12%.

Tough as nails?
7738/1.25 = 6190.4 without tough as nails
6190.4*0.15 = 928.56 from enchantress
7738 + 928.56 = 8666.56 rounds to 8667
OK, 15% armor buff, 3% IAS, and my Enchantress just took down one of those trees, by herself, in Inferno Act I. I'm sold!
