All of that can easily be answered by saying hey the tax code is a joke, and if elected i'll work to make sure that the taxes are fixed so people pay much closer to the same tax rates. Mr. Obama wants to talk about fairness, I had to hire a team of 25 (or whatever it is) people to handle my taxes. depending on your deductions, everyone here is paying different rates on their taxes, and it doesn't necessarily mean those paying more are making more. As governor, i could only make changes to my state's tax code, but as president, i will work to make taxes fairer. I will work to simpflify the tax code.
Or something like that.
I wouldn't even respond to the felony thing. that's clearly a joke.
Anyway, it's still annoying that we have to suffer through this crap, when there's an election coming up and real stuff is on the line.
Steve!! So much for you being jm's new evil, progressive adversary!!
It would have been nice if it lasted forever, but alas...
The felony part was likely a bit of hyperbole, but the rest remains up in the air until Romney proves otherwise. The Obama folks still have a lot of catching up to do if they want to compete with completely fictional "Obama" that the Right has been making up to run against for the last 3 years, since they can't run against the real Obama. The caricature they've created is only marginally more valid than "Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter".
You mean how he is the smallest government spender since Eisenhower? Or maybe he should get the blame for Congress willfully neglecting to do their job and actually legislate? Oh wait, you do try to blame him for the Republican Congress trying desperately to tank the economy last year to ruin his re-election chances. What's their approval again? Has it dipped below Casey Anthony's yet?
LOL, Ann Coulter. The conspiracy no one's talking about, right? Because the basis is "OBAMAS COMMIN FER YER GUNS!!!", and that falls completely flat when you realize that anti-gun folks think Obama is just as bad on gun control as the Nationalist Republican Army does. Obama doesn't give a flying **** about your guns, but the NRA, being the donation collection scam that they are, has to make something up to keep getting rich from redneck paranoia.
Obama giving money to his kids is a morally equivalent Tax Shelter to stashing money in foreign banks to for purposes of tax evasion? You should do your civic duty and run the Romney campaign, to guarantee they lose.
All this fun stuff aside, I never said the approach was the best one with the most integrity. It's not, and generally I'd like a world where politics like this didn't go on. I'd also like to see a live Unicorn one day. I was just saying that given the eat the rich sentiment out there (which valid or invalid still exists), this is a crass political tactic that will stick to Romney. No one likes outsourcing, tax shelters, or closing down factories for profit, and how much of this occurred is still up in the air, and Romney obviously figures that's better than what is in his past tax returns.
---
Everyone who says something he doesn't approve of must be in league with the Anti-Christ, didn't you get the memo?
I hope your right. As long as one side will never bend on entitlements and spending, and the other side would rather smother their own grandmother in her sleep than raise a dime in taxes, the debt will just grow and grow and grow. Without compromise, we'll just drown in the ocean of our own stubbornness.

Write in BobCox2 for PreZ!
Again if I vote at all this election it will be for neither Obama or Romney as a Presidential choice as that's false alternatives.
Sometimes I vote against something or someone that I really don't want though.
Now Back to the Entertainment value Headlines of JMervyn and Friends.
Rush Limbaugh believes the name of the villain "Bane" from The Dark Knight Rises is tied to an anti-Romney conspiracy plot.
The only consistently valuable by-product of politics.

Seeing as how you started glazing mine eyes by the second sentence, don't you see *WHY* the "Say Anything" Presidency is taking this angle? Also, read my replies to Bob and Techno further down regarding morons and comprehension.
Nope. They're quite serious. Debbie Downer piled on, as did Reid, Waxman, Durbin, McConnell, Pelosi (not so strongly because she's helped rake in $25m from outsourcing), and O's deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter. So when all you have is lying and calling your opponent a crook... wow, talk about new tone!
“So to repeat, this is not a distraction. This is what this campaign is going to be about.” - Barack Obama
Hey, if it worked with "7 of 9", it's gonna work here!
Yeah, well, even stopped clocks have to eat.
Exactly. The "felony" is an outright lie, like pretty much everything that comes from the Executive, but as you exemplify, it creates a question in the minds of the... well, weak minded. It doesn't MATTER that Obama's camp are lying, deceitful sacks of shyte; as long as the Romneybot is clinging to some idiotic belief that these people wouldn't shoot him in the back of the head if they thought they could get away with it, he's going to LOSE.
Oh, please, do tell. Child of the COMINTERN? Close personal friend of multiple terrorists? Steeped in the culture of Chicago corruption? Uncompromising Progressive breaking laws to enrich co-conspirators and defraud investors? Deceitful in his plans to socialize American health care and take over 1/7 (more) of the U.S. economy? Co-author of a scandal that makes Watergate look like chicken feed?
I <DO> await your lies... er, explanations...
Reference the term, "moron", previously mentioned. Obama had a rock-solid Democrat majority all this time - you know, the one that tanked the economy and blamed it on Bush? - but oh noes, suddenly it's all those wascawwy Wepubwicans! Do you actually believe this stupid bullshyte, or are you simply disinterested? Neither side is clean, but you're slurping down MSNBC spooge.
This is another lie. Check your history before making such moronic statements. Obama is an incredibly strong anti-2nd-Amendment proponent; it's nearly as high on his list as infanticide, "spreading the wealth", and union favoritism.
You sure you want to use "morals" and "Obama" in the same sentence? Tax Shelters are Tax Shelters, hiding cash is hiding cash, and Obama proves once again that you don't care if he's brutally rogering you in the arse as long as he's not Republican. Heck, if it was Romney putting money in his kids' accounts, you'd be screaming with "think of the chillllldreennnn" outrage; it's substantially more immoral to cynically use your children to avoid taxes.
My point exactly. It doesn't matter that NONE of it is true, and that the Obama camp is lying pretty much every time their lips move - it's that they have absolutely nothing positive to say about THE WON, they realize they won't have anything positive to say before November, and so the only thing they can do is Marxism 101 and hope that they have enough laughably stupid Progressive Proles (such as you?) to storm the Bastille.
Just because you're not in the same country as Stalin hardly means you're not somewhere along the continuum. You believe that people must be guided, ruled and subjugated to some degree in order to achieve a good society, while I do not.
Ok, so Bob, here you've demonstrate the same sub-moron-level comprehension that I referred to above, AND which I heard on the pop radio station this morning - which is critical to the Obama campaign. An Obama campaign surrogate, Chris Lehane, is the one quoted as floating the "Bain-Bane" tie which I originally linked, but the Obama camp are masters of political Jiujitsu. They launched this stupid, preposterous attack, but then they claim that the inevitable reaction to their stupidity is actually the initial action, taken by unhinged conservatives (in this case, "misogynist" Rush). They polished this practice defending Obama's extraordinary secrecy and dishonesty about his past; whenever someone came up with a legitimate question, they would cry "BIRTHER" and pound the sympathetic eardrums on MSNBC, The Daily Show, Buzzfeed, Huffpo, Kos, and the rest.
I expect any number of such examples before November. When THE WON is unconsciously spouting his familiar and beloved Marxist tripe (I blame the flashcards) the only way to cover it up is to scream loudly and angrily how obscene and insane even thinking he's a Marxist really is.

When it comes to "morons and comprehension"
I put you right up there in The Michele Bachmann Zone.
You are too far right for Fox News, and Linking something before I independently link a different news item on the same subject in another context, does not mean you linked it first or own the definitive opinion on it for non-morons.
Nice try though.
Uh huh, so you assert that my calling BS on the Bain claim, as well as the Bane-Bain claim, is the same as Bachmann mentioning in passing that Abedin is Muslim Bros. leadership. Yet <I'm> the one who makes unsupported accusations.
Ok, then try this on for size:

yup, so much for that. My only real adversary is mindlessly taking a side and not admitting when your completely off base. What did Kris call it? Polemics?Originally Posted by tech
It annoys me when presidents are blamed for economic production. This "greatest recession" was caused by both parties over the course of decades and no one having the foresight or the balls to stop it, and people making decisions that we should have foreseen. Nothing I've heard from Obama or Romney will pull us out of this mess. Really, what we need is time, and a desire to make something other than iPad Aps.Originally Posted by jmerv
perhaps, but Rush isn't dumb. I'm sure he's found a way to spin it so it looks like the liberals are the bad guys. He's got like 20 years of experience so he's not letting this coincidence go to waste. In fact, i bet it's pretty funny. i always thought rush put on a good show.Originally Posted by jmerv
