    Items disappearing

    Hey

Just had my stormlash AND stormshield go poof after exiting a game. I bought them via random trade games on B.net Europe. I looked some stuff up, and have a few questions.

    1. How can I ward myself against this in the future? Is buying unidentified items still the best bet (it was back in the day), or should I simply hope every time I buy an item that it wont dissolve at random?

    2. Does it make sense that both of my items disappeared? Or is something else possibly going on? I didn't give out my acc info and I checked for keyloggers and so on, but I only ran into the usual tracking cookie BS when running my scanners.

It's not the end of the world, basically just a los of approx 1.25 ist, but still...feels annoying not trusting your gear to stay ready for your killing needs :-/

    Re: Items disappearing

Were they perfect? It would make no sense to dupe anything other than perfect ones. Did you buy them both in the game you exited from? The only other reason I'd think they would vanish is a rollback.

Sadly there is no way of knowing whether the items are dupes. If you are really worried about it, don't buy perfect ones, no sensible person would dupe those. Anyway, duping is a thing of the past imo anyway, it's the bots nowadays who find the items and runes, those can't just poof

Edit: I thought of another possibility, did you swap your weapon set? You can have 2 equipped at once, I think the standard key for that is W.

Lol, nah they weren't perfect. It's just me who is being a huge noob and jumping to conclusions. I hit the W somehow, and in my semi panic didn't think. They were right there, under weapon set 1 so to speak ;-)

Chalk one up for gamer stupidity.

Edit: Didnt even hit the W key, because I use that one for a skill. I must have clicked the switch tab with the mouse somehow. Odd.
