    Exclamation Gold selling now live!

You can now list gold to sell on the RMAH. Going price is currently the price floor of $.25 per 100k, A month+ worth of gold is being dumped on the AH right now, let's see if the demand can eat it up to raise the price. Should be fun!

It is not .32 Look at the average last trade price, not the price per unit. Bliz changed the way price per unit works so people don't spam searches and stress the servers. Gold hasn't left the price floor, and demand is not very strong. I put up 5 mil at .25 just after it opened and it still hasn't sold. Maybe demand will rise over the weekend, but it isn't looking good right now.

odd - it showed .25 last night. how are you suggesting it works now, they make up a price that isn't based on what is actually listed at?

They probably show a median price or something. I've always gotten a refund any time I've bought mats, so I take that to mean the displayed price is always shifted back a bit from where it fluctuates.

Probably 0.32 is what it's been bought up to at one point in the last, like, 5 mins or whatever.

(That doesn't sound right to me, though, just tossing it out there. I doubt it's possible to buy up the whole 0.25 supply.)

That can't be it, it has taken almost a day to get the small 5mil test stack I listed at .25 to sell. I'm not sure how they calculate it, but I remember a blue post talking about the server stress people were putting up by constantly researching for a better price. I Also have a test stack at .35 to see if any of that sells to watch how high the price might fluctuate, but I won't know if any of it goes unless it is bought out or time runs out. It is nice that it looks like demand is picking up. There is over a month of supply overstock in gold that demand has to eat through before we see what a stable production vs consumption looks like. Once the overstock is gone we might see prices rise, which is why I have just a few stacks at testing prices up instead of everything I got.

    CONSPIRACY THEORY
The 0.32 its currently displaying is just above the break-even point for what it would be to profit off flipping 0.25 gold for bnet bucks.
Maybe they want people to buy buy buy any time they "score" a 0.25 get, and repost it at 0.32.

(Also, I just tested, it says 0.32 for me on USD, I bought 400k with an est price of 0.32 per 100k, and it only charged me 1.00 even.)

i've been out of town but will look more into this when i'm settled back home - imo its stupid to show such a drastically different price than what they sell for. they gave the refund excuse as something that would happen if something was listed lower after you looked, not as a normal state of affairs. there is no reason the price should show more than 25% above the real price.
