I think everything that needs to be said have been said. Stack more dex/vit/+damage. You might also want to list your skills and passives. Personally, I use a shield, but I heard that 2x life on hit weapons stack. Something to keep in mind in even higher difficulties.
Before inferno, dps on the weapon and vit+main stat on the rest are most important. Things like increased attack speed, higher crit chance, bonus crit damage, life on hit, life on death, resists, sockets etc. are useful as well, or course. That has already been said, it seems.
Put the biggest amethysts which you have into everything, including the weapon (the very best one goes into it). Life on hit, bonus life and +vit are good! But before unsocketing your weapon, read on!
While playing, pick up all gold and magical items and sell them. It should be no problem to gather 100k.
You can certainly buy a nice weapon for 40k in the auction house. Look for those of your level +/- 3 levels and life on hit. Don't buy anything else than weapons at this point. At this very moment, when searching in the Europe AH for rare level 35-40 one-handers which add at least 80 life per hit, 15 weapons will appear which a monk can wear and a lot of them have buyout prices which you can afford easily.
If your character is L46 or so, look for L60 weapons which have a "level requirement reduced by X" affix with X being the difference between your character level and L60. It should be no problem to get a 300 dps weapon at L46 or 500 dps at L50 with 500+ life on hit. That's probably enough until end of hell mode.
Regarding leveling weapons, don't waste your time with normal offers, but offer the buyout price (ignore the offers which have none or ridiculously high ones). It's not worth waiting for a day in order to save 20k for a L35 weapon or 100k for a L50 one, with the risk of being outbid at the end.

You know I'm born to lose / and gambling is for fools / but that's the way I like it, baby / I don't want to live forever!
I cant get passed inferno act 2 with my monk. Solo or public but it seems when i play publuc a lot of people quit when a elite or champion mob keeps killing us. That means they are struggling as well...
Any tips for my build?

Just from what I see from that picture:
Get a new weapon, it's too slow. Get a sword, fist, or dagger. Never put a ruby in a weapon, put an amethyst to get some LoH, you really need some.
Try to get a helm with a socket in it to put a ruby in for extra life.
Get the "one with everything"passive and look for gear with a single resist (pick one and look for just that one) and all resist.
What is your build? Your DPS is a bit low, but it really depends on the build I guess.
18k life is way too low, try to get over 30k
Thanks for the reply and tips.
Sorry but I dont understand what u mean by this.
Ive been trying to go for resist on everything? 45%+ of my gear has resist on everything?
Should i just go for resist on fire for example?
Not sure how that would help?

Yes, pick a resist (fire for example) and look for pieces that have fire resist and all resist on them. So your fire resist will be way higher than the rest. Then you put on the "one with everything" passive skill and you will have your all resist = your fire resist. It's almost a must have for a monk in inferno.Originally Posted by ooogz
If you post the skills you are using there are probably some improvements we could make there.
