Will this computer likely run D3?

I've changed my mind. I'm going with a build that will include a gtx 550 ti. Will that run 1080p in Linux very well?

Yea it should run fine, not sure if you can turn up everything but if not it'll be very close to max details. You should also have more success with a 32 bit OS, it seems to be easier to setup. Let us know the results once you're all set !

I'm not exactly sure on the CPU department because I can't recall how many cores D3 utilizes and how much it needs CPU power, but the GPU should check out.

Benchmarks have shown that D3 is not that CPU bound, so the Quad-Core A6-3420M 1.5GHz should be enough. You'll be able to play at least on medium settings.
