I'm working on a diablo 2 mod, which will be something close to unofficial 1.14 patch(or maybe more like 2.00
Here is my todo list:
1)more diversity in endgame items (I really don't like seeing every char using same items).
-endgame set/unique/runeword items similiar in power.
-new very rare unique items (like Azurewrath or Tyrael's Might. Would like to bring more from d1 like the Demonspike Coat)
-high level items greatly boosting low level spells (to make them usefull at later stages also)
-elite set with ring (now it will be worth to pick up unidentified set ring )
-more uniques based on same item, not only high level ones.
2)charms no longer taking whole equipment space (had an idea of making only unique charms usefull or even make magic ones not drop)
3)improve mf system-every char build will get good drops.Not sure how to solve this, here are some ideas:
-mf affix ONLY on unique charm (based on clvl)
-mf affix on EVERY item
4)Improve atmosphere-closer to d1.
-darker areas, less rainbows(no more bright equipment and monsters), gothic feel
-dominating colors will be black, grey, red, gold.
5)No more boss runs!
-best items will be dropped by random unique monsters.
6)All atrributes will be important (different classes will focus on different attributes, for example sorc will get spell dmg boost from Energy). This one will require really good balancing and I'm not even sure if I will do it.
7)Move all the auras that act 2 merc gives somewhere else, so that player won't be forced to play with them. You prefer playing without merc? That's fine it won't affect your char power. I'm not sure how to achieve it. Ideas?
teleport oskill-I'm not sure what to do with it. I thought about making unique charm with +1 to teleport, but won't it break the balance? Should really every class get acces to teleport? Enigma will lost this bonus for sure(it makes other armors useless for casters). But don't you think that necro with minions and teleport is too powerfull?

Share your ideas and comment mine Oh, if you have an idea for a new unique item or improving esisting one share it. But have in mind that I don't want to touch game balance, so no overpowered items compared to existing ones.
