Zeal is ok for going untwinked. Auras and Hdin can be very expensive.

Hammerdin is the least gear dependent of the three you listed since they only need +skill gear, but I find them a giant snooze fest to play. Pure Zealots are highly dependent on a good physical damage weapon to be effective, you could do a holy shock or holy freeze zealot instead if you wanted too which is less dependent on a weapon, but you'll run into more elemental immunes then you will physical immunes in hell mode which could be a pain. Auradin will be the most expensive as they rely on having multiple high end runewords to work.

I'd have to respectively disagree about zealot weapons. I've done numerous untwinked zealots and only 1 of them had a high end weapon.
