A Very Simple Tourney: The Huge Repair Debts Tourney!
This is a simple tourney, somewhat on the silly side. The object is to have the largest possible repair bill for repairing an item or collection of equipped items.
This is kind of the opposite of the GF "Piles of Money" tourney from before. Instead of trying to make large amounts of gold as quickly as possibly, the object is to make large repair bills as quickly as possible.
There are four categories:
1) Single item greatest repair bill, no charges considered, durability only.
2) Single item greatest repair bill, durability and charges allowed
3) All equipped items greatest repair bill
4) Timed repair contest.
The object is to have the largest possible repair bill (from your favorite repairer: Charsi, Fara, Hratli, Halbu, or Larzuk).
Guidelines:
All classes allowed.
All builds allowed.
All existing characters or new characters of HC/SC, any version are eligible, and Vanilla/RRM/RWM/CRM are allowed.
Twinked items, ATMA, GoMule, all allowed for preparation.
You may even kill monsters at /players 1 and open chests at /players 8, for once! Not that it will do you any good.
Rules for the timed repair category:
Spend all the time you want building, equipping, and preparing your character.
When ready for an effort, make sure all equipped items are fully repaired and fully charged by visiting a repairer and clicking "repair all" and seeing a zero balance.
Then look at a clock, begin playing for 10 minutes. No equipment changes are permitted during the 10 minutes. If an item completely breaks during the 10 minute session then you need to use the already equipped gear on weapon/shield switch or continue to play with the broken item.
No use of charges from items during the 10 minute effort.
At the end of 10 minutes, return to town immediately and check the cost of "repair all."
No suspending of time- if the phone rings or a puppy starts eating your shoes, you can either ignore it or deal with it as part of your 10 minute effort.
Multiple efforts are permitted.
Multiple characters are permitted, but each effort can use only a single character.
Single-player only. No MP-ing for the timed effort category.
Scoring Tables:
Record your efforts in the tables below:

You don't actually need to pay the bill. The object is merely to generate the largest bill. For these cases, the following will be very useful options:
1 Ort Rune + Weapon = Fully Repaired Weapon
1 Ral Rune + Armor = Fully Repaired Armor
1 Ort Rune + 1 Chipped Gem (any kind) + Weapon = Fully Repaired and Recharged Weapon
1 Ral Rune + 1 Flawed Gem (any kind) + Armor = Fully Repaired and Recharged Armor
Comments:
I'm playing a character now in whose future I foresee potentially huge repair bills. So I think I will have some good efforts in a while.
Clarifications:
None yet, but I'm sure there are things I forgot to mention and I can put them here later when I realize my mistakes or ambiguities.
Edit: this is just about equipped gear. Merc resurrections don't count as bills- that could be another contest, to see who can kill their merc the most times in 10 minutes... The only bills that count are the repair bills from the repairing NPCs.
This is absolutely hilarious. Has anything like this come up before? I probably won't get around to participating, but I'll definitely read about it
As for the merc revival idea: Tomb vipers. That is all!
I tried to repair ethereal gloves, but charsi says - money cant buy! do I win?
Anyways, fun stuff, Id say winner of 2, will be some rw with charges and staffmods made in staffmod heavy cadusceus (high dura) ...
Ethereal items give a big fat 0 repair cost, even if they do give a great deal of heartache when they wear out...
Indeed, staffmods are a big factor on expense. It might be good to have a separate category for runewords, actually.
I remember I had a CoH in a superior (?) archon plate, and it was mighty expensive to repair a few durability. Marrowwalk charges are expensive, too.
I'm sure I can do better than this, but I thought this would be a good item to start with, as I remember spending a fair amount on repairs in the Crafted Items tourney with Altjira and this axe:
But with no staffmods and charges, it turned out to be just a mere pittance of 24960 to repair from 0 to 26 durability. He also had a caduceus on switch but (fortunately at the time, unfortunately for this) it has self-repair. I'll have to dig further...Code:Altjira's Ghoul Rend War Spike One Hand Damage: 132 - 221 Durability: 0 of 26 Required Level: 81 Required Strength: 133 Required Dexterity: 54 Fingerprint: 0xa96dfe46 Item Level: 81 Version: Expansion 1.10+ +20% Increased Attack Speed 342% Enhanced Damage +9 to Maximum Damage +17 to Attack Rating 6% Life stolen per hit +19 to Life 1 Sockets (1 used) Socketed: Shael Rune

Don't mean to make your cost sound low or anything, but a fortitude costs more than that with just 1 point of repair. I think mine is ~57k per point. I think I will go to normal and let some fallens wail on me for 10 minutes or until it breaks and put the repair cost up.
-Edit-
Well didn't work as well as I hoped. I did nightmare and my merc needs to be dead. the ice bolts triggering from fortitude kept killing fallens and what that didn't kill my merc killed. I only managed to lose 5 points of durability in 10 minutes for a 285696 gold repair cost.

Sheesh... what would Fort in a superior base cost?
that is a superior dusk shroud. 9% defense 10% dura.
I reckon this might be a good untwinked tourney. Entry fee and prizes are a rediculous amount of gold...HC/SC gold would have to be split up though. Perhaps at certain key areas/times, repair costs are collected/posted, and points towards the final score are given. Hilarious and unique concept.
I'll be watching this thread though - see what some people come up with. Throw Carrion Winds and quad Demon Limb's with 0 charges, and see how it that goes.
