Some ppl here like Hideo really really need to get a life besides bashing on a goddamn videogame all day long.

It's frankly sad

More importantly, because I don't believe being much better than them. Why the number of copy sold on one site would impact whether or not I like the game ? And how would it validate any claim about the game ?

Very solid game that sold very little exist, bad blockbuster also exist, and in reverse crap that do not sold well and good game that sell a lot exist too.

The only thing that comes close are mice and keyboards. And Sims 3...

For 813 days its been selling in the top 100 on Amazon. It has to fall from #1 eventually... Only so many people out there to actually buy the game. :P

Yeah it only sold like 10 million copies, who cares, amirite, game dead 2 weeks tops.

Blizzard could have crapped in a box and it would have sold millions. Diablo 3 sold well because of Diablo and Diablo 2; and because it was developed by Blizzard.

But now that people have bought and played D3, people realize that the game sucks. Players will be more cautious about future Blizzard products.

To be fair, and to offer some perspective - "The Secret World" - a genuinely AAA MMO with many original features, six years in development, with marketing support from EA, on this, the week it goes live... isn't even in the top 40.

There hasn't been much marketing for SW, some last minute stuff though. The servers are live for pre-orders (DD) now but open for all tomorrow.

I think EA may be relying more on world of mouth for this one. Slow burning, keep the fanfare somewhat subdued so they don't suffer an anticlimax. We all know how welcome they are. Perhaps they can work on the issues that will invariably surface in the first couple of weeks away from the glare.
