Yeah it only sold like 10 million copies, who cares, amirite, game dead 2 weeks tops.
I wonder why all of the ones above D3 is selling at a price significantly below the listed price.
Still, it proves that Blizzard is not Apple.
Alex, it has made less money than WoW since presales were announced March 15, if you ignore the extensions of WoW subs with the annual deal. Do the math - funny but true!
2.5/5 stars as well, thats pretty bad. How the heck did that happen?
Same issue as the 3000 or so negative metacritic userscores. People got frustrated at release and bombed the score.
Of course, if it wasn't a 3/5 star game and a sequel to an all-time classic, that would have helped.
Alex, your knee-jerk reductio ad absurdum sarcasm shtick would be a little more effective if you actually had something to offer.
The problem with this compared to older games is the current lack of box sales at brick and mortars. Before digital distribution and consoles the pc side of racks were pretty huge and always full, now they are barely sniffed @ walmart, target, and even gamestops. That's why you won't see a repeat.
Regardless, as long as they continue to support it, I'll be happy.
Idk about it making less money than wow. For now maybe, but not later on if they improve it. Wow gets roughly $13-$15/month per person. The rmah get $1 per transaction. Idk how often you guys sell stuff but that could be HUGE profits if they get enough people to stay and play D3. If just 1 person sells 15 items per month that equals wow subs+ the ah fiends that sell 100+ items per month. ONce they get gold being sold...I can see Bobby's eyes starting to sparkle.
This game will keep on falling like a morbidly obese WoW nerd into a black hole.
I've quickly read some reviews and it's amazing how random people from all walks of life consistenly manage to hit the nail on the head of why this game is utter trash.
