Hi all.
Not sure if this is the right place to post this; but I noticed something this morning.
If you look at http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/gem/; it lists a radiant ruby's effect asHowever in game, it's now described asIncreases Experience Rewarded per Kill by 15%I'm just quoting from Radiant as I have one in my stash. Other rubies seem to be changed too.Increases Bonus Experience by 15%
As you can understand, there is a pretty big difference in between the two. I assume bonus experience is quest rewards and kill streaks and the like, rather than per kill. I found rubies to be very useful when leveling new HC characters. Looks like they aren't so useful now.
Was this a documented change? And can anyone think of a way to test if it's only on bonuses now, or if it's functioning like before?
If this is well known and documented, please delete the thread and forgive me
I suspect this is just a wording change to indicate that rubies increase the 'bonus experience' stat under Stat details -> adventure -> bonus experience. Cbf to test it at this moment though. XD
Let's hope it's only a change in wording, because from looking at it I'd assume it meant that it only makes "killed xx enemies in one blow" and "killed xx enemies/destroyed objects" give more xp. I really don't think that's the case, but from reading for the first time that's what I'd assume.
Reading that, I interpret the first one as monsters giving you +15% more exp, but not quests (which was true, it didn't affect quests). The second one sounds to me like all experience, including quests, I could be wrong, but that's what it sounds like to me.
I have the very, very strong feeling that I am getting more XP not only for monsters but also for streaks, quests, etc. Even lore books give me more experience points. I am now leveling my first Alt and can compare to my main, which did not have such a jewel in his helm.
so can anyone confirm this?
