Will prices on the GAH go down since the hotfix... or up?

Now that ilvl61-63 are easier to get, do you see the prices of "good stuff" dropping on the gold AH, or do you see them never going down ever basically.

    Here's my concern.

Seems like as I save up more and more gold, the prices of stuff seems to scale /w the amount of gold I have. Item I've been eyeing for a while that was 10mil gold.. by the time I get up to 10mil, it now costs 15.

By the time I get up to 15, it costs 20.

It's like the more gold that comes into the system, because of the nerfs to inferno's difficulty, and the increased rewards of better drops, it looks like most heroes are getting more and more gold and de-valuing gold itself.

Or am I wrong and you think prices will take a nosedive soon.

You're right, not enough gold sinks = inflation.

In europe realm, for my current gear level, prices are nosediving here and now. I don't look at very best item however. Don't forget that repair cost went way up, meaning more gold sink. Also, I believe the market will behave very differently for perfect items and good items, in that I can't see why perfect item would not sell for increasingly ludicrious amount, while good items tend to became more common and accessible.

Surely the game is in a perpetual state of deflation in the grand scheme of things. The goldsink of crafting (which is very popular now, hence the rise in plans prices) is present, whereas there are no item sinks.

Yes, I also noticed that good items begin to fall to my price range again on EU.
And inferno level crafting essence went down to 1400 (from 1900-2000 pre patch).

    1) Under-60 gear tends to be harder to price
    2) For farming reasons, repair costs are unnoticeable (unless someone can't farm properly). For mine full act 1 inferno run repair costs are ~10k w/ over 100k income. That's over 90k gold ready to pour into the market.
    3) The only proper gold sink imo is crafting, which is kinda high end type of gold sink (i.e. fun for riches).
    4) It's not the price of materials that matters, it's average of "decent" gear pricing that matters (crafting essences is easy, so price will fall)
Maybe I'm just used to Lineage 2, where gold sinks were juse everywhere

I am talking about average-good lvl 61-63 gear compared to perfect lvl 61-63 gear.

But not for the buyer who may not be a farmer interested in doing easy content to farm gold. People spend more in repair than before, so less net gold is created and stuff.

It's the only gold sink for your playstyle. But AH price is governed by masses of people, which does not try to be playing like you, however optomal it may be.

And this price, in europa, is nosediving, at least for item I do scan.
