    WotB boss strategy

I was wondering if this trick is viable:

Basically I had the idea to use WotB with the Thrive on Chaos rune while soloing bosses like Diablo or Azmodan.

Frenzy + WotB = lots of fury generated....shouldnt this allow me to remain in Berserker mode permanently until the boss die or I disengage?

I think this is a fairly known strategy at this point. What will REALLY make this work is using Into the Fray rune on Battle Rage, which has a chance to give you extra fury every time you crit.

Also mix it up with Sprint with the Run Like the Wind rune (turn it on and then run around the boss a bit, dropping a tornado or two on him), and also maybe Whirlwind. That way you get in even more hits, which gets more crits, which gets Into the Fray to proc more often, which both keeps WotB alive and lets you spam fury skills.

Personally I really like the 100% attack boost that WotB's Maniac rune gives, though. Popping 80k+ damage and just tearing elites and bosses in half before they even know what to do is just too amazing.

Just remember than when using Wotb/Thrive on Chaos, that when have max fury it does not prolong Wotb. You need to spend some fury, then regain it to properly extend the Wotb effect.

I was actually wondering about that. Good call. I guess thats why these tend to turn into WW builds. Though for a boss I could see somebody going with Hammer of the Ancients instead.

Hammer sounds good to me too...but how about throw with dread bomb?

Note that I intend to use this on act bosses, my first try run would be Diablo himself...

You could just spam battlerage while you attack if you don't wanna use up another skillslot (pretty sure this works).

Using ww/crit build I spam sprint(no cooldown!) and battlerage (some cooldown), frenzy for bosses. I can't manage to sustain ww on bosses...

    Re: WotB boss strategy

I would assume that Weapon Throw with Dread Bomb would be the best fury spender for WotB/Thrive on Chaos builds. Other skills that have synergy with this build would be Weapons Master passive (mighty weapon +3 fury/hit), the rune for Battle Rage mentioned above, and the passive skill Animosity (+10% fury generation +20 max fury). If soloing, the Templar has a skill that increases resource generation.

I don't think all of these skills necessarily have to be used together in order for this set up to work, but you'll definitely need more constant fury than what Frenzy alone can give you.
