While agree that the low level loot could be buffed a bit, and think it should, I still think your comparison of what you're finding vs what's on the AH is fundamentally wrong. Of course you're not often finding loot better than what you can find pretty easily on the AH, there are thousands of people selling their items there.

I wish that the legendaries were good, but not end-game good, and more common. I would like to, as you said, find useful low level shinies with cool stats, it's fun finding them, and more fun using your neat uniique stuff as you level up. That said, I am so glad that the legendary items are not the best, or particularly easy to find. It would suck if they were the best, and all of the 'top tier' characters had to shoot for the same set of unique gear.

Yea dont get me wrong , I dont want to have fully equipped characters in 2-3 months or anything BUT the rate at which ANY useful items are appearing is appaling to me as a player that has only limited playing time... I dont even have to have ELITE stuff drop for me, just SOMETHING Useful for the level would be nice... Heres what Im getting - level 52 barbarian finds a rare item and its 5-10 levels lower than what Im currently using so I end up selling it for cash, repeat with 53 WD ......

So until that problem is adressed Ill use the AH frequently so I can survive in late Hell and then Inferno mode and have a chance for survival....

And you will NEVER find anything yourself. If thats the game you want to play then fine. But listening to your ravings it really sounds like its not.
Start a new character and only use what you find yourself and you will be fine.
I am in inferno on my barb without having bought anything on the AH ever.
