I may be wrong, but I think I read a blue post (or maybe it was in an interview), where they said that they are already planning the first expansion and that it wouldn't include additional acts. Does anyone else remember this?
Anyway, who would we fight in a new act? Aren't all of the evils gone? I guess we could invade Westmarch due to the king's refusal to help us fight the demons.
i think many speculations here are reasonable ... iam really not happy how the features of D3 panned out ...
the runesystem is not really interesting because most runevariations of most skills are simply not interesting ... which makes it really easy to find cookie cutter runes / speccs.
well and the items were never interesting though now that i play the game its worse than i feared ... i think we will see a return of many features which were originally planned for the game ...
and i also predict that they will be all smug about it ; like they had a stroke of genius ... just so they can expand upon the game with the least effort possible.

I do hope they add new Events, even for Act I to IV, to spice up leveling of new characters/classes.
Id like a new act, not sure where it will be set though. We'll definitely get new legendaries, at least 1 new class, probably a level cap increase as well. Maybe get some new monster affixes.
I wouldn't add classes. Raise the level cap to 100, and add a mixture of 40 new skills and skill upgrades(mostly just upgrades to already existing skills).
Give the WD a couple of new skills which are Necroey. Give Monk new skills which are Pallyly. Give DH new skills which are Zonly. Give Wiz new skills which are Druidly. Barb - I donno.
I just don't see any room for a new class without repeating a lot of abilities which already exist in the game. Yeah, ok there's shifter, but what else is he going to do besides turn into a bear? Give those shifter skills to the barb or something.
Also, - add runewords and make the cost to craft rares cheap since RW would be the new "thing." That way people can power through the old content by crafting without breaking their wallet.
IDC much about jewels or charms.
New act, w/e, as long as it's not heaven.
The Black Soulstone falls back to Sanctuary, and lands right on Bobby Kotick's desk. We spend Act 5, descending into Hell/Activision HQ. There's your plot. Don't forget, he'll have Tinkerbell on his shoulder, who will harass you the entire act.
They is a reason why the Level has a Cap on 60. Its a known fact that the economy suffers from inflation. Because D3 dont have a ladder reset, there is no mechanics to stop the inflation. When the point of no profit is reached they will release an Addon and start the game again. All Lv 60 items will loose there value and we cant move our old character to the addon. My prediction for the future is that they will release 2 Addons with +20 Lv. At the end we could reach Lv 99 and with futher updates/addons/patches we will have all the good things that we loved in Diablo 2. And thats called innovation.
That's actually clever...though I would not call it innovation I would call it postponing things for monetary reasons at the expense(literally) of the player lol

XPAC 1 is likely Adria, she gave Diablo a counterfeit while keeping the BlackSoul Stone.
BUT on another note if THEY are supposed to keep the souls inside any red,green,blue, balck Soulstone , we forgot to bring one during the last fight....meh...Tyreal Alzehimers acting up again...cannot blame him he is toooo old., Cain is not around to nag ....
XPAC 2 we will be fighting Leah son, cos she and Tyreal had a fling before he realised she is the offspring of Diablo...blah blah...
XPAC 3 will be Leah half brother , from one of the vendors in Bastion Keep. Adria had lots of free time while Azmodan was reading out his WOT script.
