What killed this game for you?

So running, mephisto, diablo, baal and pindleskin was fun? Okaaaaay

Well, yeah. When killing Diablo I cleared Chaos Sanctuary for example. That included killing normal monsters, elite monsters and a boss. It's literally playing the game. If one found that boring the problem is at a more fundamental level of being bored of playing the game rather than monotonous runs. Plus there were many additional areas like The Pits, Ancient Tunnels etc. that were good running spots. Again if someone only ran Mephisto that's their problem and not a problem of the game.

I'm really curious why are people directing their dissatisfaction with game personally to people involved in game creation?
I've never seen anything like this before. It's wrong on so many levels...

Really? Guess you don't hang around show/movie/video game forums much. It's not like this stuff drops out of the sky. Someone out there sits down and makes it. Fanbases treat their favorite creative artists like gods. If they're really cultish they'll support stuff that isn't as good as others just because that person made it.

Likewise, if they feel someone else took their beloved franchise and butchered it there's gonna be some serious rage. Same thing happened to Justin Browder for SC2.

Also, I collected the majority of my wealth playing single pass untwinked hardcore characters with out of the box restrictions. It was only in 1.13c that we (the SPF) started to see high end runewords popping up regularly, we never relied on that stuff. Also, Enigma isn't cheating, it's a legitimate item.

it was fun because you could go from Act to Act easily, you could find nice white items that you could sell or socket, you could find resist charms, skills charms, stat charms, runes

in D3, going from Act to Act is not so easy, white items are garbage, there's nothing to find except items (at least 1/2 of which are junk)

I agree that doing the run to 99 got extremely boring, I never got past 92, but it was still more interesting than this

so my necromancer and paladin had it rough at times

But what IS killing the internet game forums in general (nah, internet forums in general) for me are the wildly biased haters.

So someone don't like something? That's great! Hurray to the diversity of opinions. Perhaps one should try to be critical in a constructive way of the stuff that don't like and just move on to find some stuff that actually makes you enjoy it!

About this part. Stay awhile and listen.

After reset, In new ladder, with friends, we farmed firsts couple days to HR runes(Depends of luck ofc). Sweet times... Nothing new. Just 3-6 people run Mausoleum (Monsters 85lvl) < it is near Blood Raven in Act one. We all used Blizzard Soso. people still think *that has to be duped :O! If we were bored, there always was Act two Ancient Tunnels. Okay, Diablo and Ball worth to kill why not, but I have to say, there are planty areas of 85, where You could also well farm everything. Anyway, new Ladder, new Rat Race for levels, so DiaBall are must + Nithalhak with shrine after 95. Then pvp mayby new builds, spere time in chat, or whathewer You want. Bots are plague, but that does not mather, when You have friends to play with.

Look, in D3 You have guaranted loot after 5stac from champions. Champions drop one guaranted yellow, same from Boss, I see here +/-. Sometimes I want to farm, but My tank cant kill so fast... So after 15 min or more I have 5 stack... Phone call and I have to stop playing *pres ESC, when I am back after hour or two "You wre droped. Literatly I see many of people offline 4-7 days. Public games 2.2kmax, where at first time I couldn't log in, there was, hmm I saw 18 – 30k at time. Beside of that,
I have gear that one small upgrade cost me 6-15kk for 10str or 20vita. I found only two items by Myself, Chest and Belt, and I'm proud of it, but Damn I think I hited wall, and there is nothing to do in game anymore. Right now $ is only one I see. I have 374h played, and mayby more in lurking GAH. Game is Realy well made I like aesthetics, colors, Sound, gameplay, actors, some parts of story, random events, but there are more – than + in my sense. I realy don't know, why there is soo litle in this game, mayby PvP will refresh game, I hope so. Blizzard have nice fundaments to work out, but how they will change it, do they can change it, who knows. Going off to read some books, and enjoy summertime. Too much Hype, too much promises.

You were actually excited to run the same route over and over again, using your cheap *** cheating *** enigma to teleport you to mephisto over and over again, game after game? Is that really your definition of fun? If so, try watching paint dry, its much more productive.

Enigma saved D2 from nothing but game after game full of sorceresses. If you felt it wasn't fair that the rest of us could enjoy a more wide set of options, that's your right.

And yes, D2 was much more enjoyable than D3. I didn't write these threads, but as tired as you people are with the whining, I'm just as tired with the empty-headed, irrational Blizzard apologists.

The game is good. That's it.

D2 was great. That's it.

D3 MAY become great. D2 wasn't great on release, but it became great. So, I'll keep my eye on it. But, all the personal crap is getting old. Don't read the damned thread if you're not interested in the topic kids.

The idea that MANY of the negative opinions about the game are *not true* is a farce. There are plenty of logical negative arguments about the game, many of which have either been accepted or have failed to be refuted. It isn't fair to say that a negative comment is meaningless or out of touch.
