Bad time to buy Diablo III?

So after patch 1.0.3 i hear alot of players griefing and with the loot / character nerfs is it a bad time for me to buy and start playing diablo in its current state?

my concerns are that i wont have enough gold or strong gear to naturally progress throughout the game and the the RMAH will become mandatory in the future.

What is the best build currently (post -nerfs) for solo'ing and farming gold/gear? i thought it would be a demon hunter but i heard it got nerfed. thanks.

One Demon Hunter skill got nerfed.
Don't listen to the whiners. The game is new and will be evolving for some time. I have made it act 3 hell on mostly self found gear. Bought a few items and gems off the gold AH. I have no plans to ever spend real money on this game (other than the purchase).

You will be able to play it without spending real money.

I am having fun with Monk (59) and Wizard (40) with a low level Demon Hunter (14) on deck.

If you want to power level to 60 and buy gear right away and that is how you enjoy the game, you might not have the gold. If you want to walk the game and enjoy it that way you will have plenty of gold.

Patch 1.0.3 made it easier, not harder, to play with self found items. The changes that are being made are intended to balance the game, not make it less fun. So, if you think you'd like D3, then get it now.

Buy it from a bargain bin in a few years. Oh, don't forget to check Amazon reviews. It will give you some lucid insights into quality of this game.

new patch to diablo is fine, i just bought it yesterday and i found it really fun to play with since im completely new to diablo

Truth is, 1.0.3 does not really impact the game play until you are in Inferno, and where it does impact, it made it easier for the most part.

You don't have to touch the AH or even farm at all until Hell and be completely fine, and you probably don't need to touch it for Hell as well if you are in for a bit of farming. If nothing else, loot is buffed by the guarantee rare drop and the higher early inferno drop rate.

I wouldn't call it a bad time.

But what would be a better time is when the PvP patch goes live - then maybe it would worth the $$$ you give.

You must be really pissed about this game. Anyways I would just like to say I salute you for ongoing conquest on trying to deter people from this game. You are probably the last one of your kind.

From his other posts, he never bought the game. ie. He isn't one of those people who reached Inferno and found nothing better to do, but simply hate D3 for not being D2.5.

He probably wanted D2 with new graphics, then get bored after a month cause it's entirely the same. Don't even understand why he still posts on these forums. Hard to take someone serious who hasn't even played the game, and doesn't know what he's talking about.
