At what ILVL should I salvage items?

When is it profitable for crafting and selling on the AH?

Been doing ilvl 61+ but not enough to sell yet...

Mostly the Inferno Mats as you described lvl61+. I see the essences regularly sell for 1750 per. The Legendary crafting mats I am not sure on the prices and I think until the revamp on the items in 1.10 you will not see a huge jump, so I would hold onto them. The lower lvl crafting mats go for very cheap. I would hold them for PVP as you might see low lvl PVP come back. Although no duels. Sadly.

I have been selling Stacks of 5xExquisite Essences as I collect them. It seems like crafting is a one in a million, so I'd rather have the quick gold. Those stacks usually sell in about 10 seconds and I can put up another stack right away.

And better off vendoring if the vendor value is more than 1500 or so if you sell your essences or 2000 if you buy.

The grand majority of ilvl61+ (required level 60) items are salvage-worthy. The grand majority of ilvl60- (required level 59 and under) are vendor trash. If you check the AH prices you might want to salvage/vendor the occasional "offending" item, but the difference the amount of gold you'll save over time is probably not worth the extra time and effort required.
