Yes, cold and lightning and then maybe arcane are probably the least valued resists by other classes. I would not pick fire because people artificially value it extra high because so many monster abilities look like they are fire (fire chains and desecrator are not actually fire)
I don't have any health globe pickup on my monk. I think it can be a very helpful stat though. Sometimes it is nicer to be able to control when you pick them up, but I think most of the time I would rather just have them get picked up right away, at least with a monk.
I don't actively seek health globe stats. But if it's on an item with other good stats that I'm after, I do consider it a very nice bonus.
Well I'd figure I'd post a reply and tell you all how things are going. I can finally make progress in act 1 inferno I just beat the skeleton king last night! Thanks for the advice guys!
So I thought I'd hijack this thread instead of starting another similar one.
By now I can pretty much breeze through act 1 with my eyes closed and am working on act 2. My main problem now: Improving my equipment. For those who want to have a look, my BattleTagNetThingy is acgabs#2308, for the others here's a rough breakdown of my stats:
24k HP
14,5k DPS
5396 (64,27%) Armor
34% Dodge
26% Crit chance
118% Crit Damage
550 (64,73%) @
575 LoH
Currently running a pretty standard thunderclap/crit/cyclone build.
I've been scouring the auction house for days but pretty much since the RMAH opened it's all but impossible to find affordable improvements for my equipment. It's full of miniscule improvements (like +500 life, -120 dps, +0.5% protection) which then cost 1,5 mil+ gold. The weapons are especially bad, once you're looking for something with reasonable LoH, crit damage and 780+ dps.
I guess my question is, after about 4 weeks of grinding act 1 inferno, are there and tips about finding affordable new equipment? Any help would be appreciated.
