Hello. I am currently farming act I/II with Deadly reach (because of plagued mob mainly). I often use the classical foresight and keen eye, but the more I play, the more I end up using Trident because with it I feel both killing stuff faster and dying less. I don't see any technical reason for which this skill would be that useful, can you help either understanding what is helpful or what fool me ? (sorry if the formatting end up being a big blob. For unknown reason the forum mangle new lines one half of the time when I post)
Trident strikes wider area which makes it deal more damage to group of mobs and making you less likely to be surrounded by them.
I wonder if Trident gives you more life on hit...
2nd and 3rd hit of trident gives a lower return ratio.
Taken from the monk bible, LoH 13:3 -

Yes, if you hit enough things it evens out.
Have you tried using cyclone strike to move them out of poison puddles? That's how I roll those desecrators/poison/etc mobs. Just cylcone em where I want to fight them. Also works great on mobs that cast or swing.
Yes, but cyclone strike take another ability slot.
Right Now, I tend to use trident when I am alone, because it proc LLH and crit proc quite handily while being a lot easier to position right than, say, WoHF. I would now classify this rune in the same category as "Perseverance", useful benefit but not calculable.
