Currently progressing through A2 with a wicked wind build. I'm doing it relatively cheap, with a 10% ctc shield I already had instead of an orb and a 750 dps 9 ap per crit 400 life on hit wand I managed to snag for 10k or something silly like that. Running with ~6.2k armor, 680-780 res, 26k life, and a whopping 12k dps.
It is a pile of fun, particularly if I can get a competent party. It is also amazing to compare the... hmm. DPS efficiency? Of this to almost any other build. Once I get tornados going to generate ap and crits I am effectively doing many times my DPS stat in damage with Explosive Blast; it resets 2-3 times per second if I'm handling things well.
I wrote this guide the way I play CM build. It's not based on complete stunlock and I time my Nova's interrupt attacks/kiting/whatever. Meteor just does like 10 times more damage than WW and I can clear act3/act4 dying 0-1 times per full clear so it's efficient too. If anyone is interested you can read it from here.
ok, i got 40% crit (45 with pinpoint barrier), 14 AP on crit, and still Ghom rapes me... what am i doing wrong?:S
redo with 45% without pinpoint, 24 AP on crit and i just suck... it doesnt work on ghom... i dont know what am i missing

Life on hit probably. With 48% Crit, 19AP on crit and 940 LoH I can do Ghom quickly.
Either life on hit or simply more resists and AP on crit will make ghom easy. With 1000 all resists, 44.5% crit and 20 AP on crit I rarely have to move out of the cloud since diamond skin absorbs pretty much everything. Same goes for azmodan's bloody ground thing.
You don't have to face tank ghom. You can do the slow-kite around the room if you don't have the tanking stats to just stand still and tank all the gas.
