Damage question...2 weapon comparison

Hi guys, I have a question on 2 weapons. I am currently using this 1 handed xbow:
613 dps
107-282 poison damage
264 dex
83 int
+ 5% to attack speed

I would like to use this 1 handed xbow:
685 dps
131-374 arcane damage
291 dex
82 vit
+9 to discipline

second weapon is better, yes? Seems so on paper and when I compare the two in the stash/inventory it says that the 2nd one here will do 2500 more dps and decent life. But when I equip it my listed damage goes down by 3000. Do we have another LCS here? Is it the 5% attack speed I am losing? Thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.

Yes, the in-game calculation in the comparison is not accounting for the +5% to attack speed that is applied to the overall damage. The weird thing is that I've noticed that sometimes the increased attack speed is factored in the dps increase, particularly when wielding melee weapons, two-handed bows and amulets.
