Would like your input on this. Do you guys believe Blizzard's reasoning for increasing repair costs is to deplete player's gold so they are forced to dish out real cash in the RMAH to buy the gears needed to compete in Inferno. Or was that too easy to fool anyone???
No.
If you keep dying, go back to the act before and farm gear/gold and get some better equipment. That way, you shouldn't be dying as much when you return to the later act.
And even if you're dying, you should still be able to farm enough gold to afford repair costs etc.
OMG IT'S ALL A CONSPIRACY!!!! BLIZZ MEANS TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD THEN KILL US ALL.
Thank you for opening my eyes sir.
Were you guys aware that Blizzard actually makes it rain sometimes, so that you're less inclined to go outside? This is obviously a ploy to get you to play D3, and in turn use the RMAH, because it's the only way to play. Coming soon - D3 USB Debit Card scanners that put your entire bank account balance in the RMAH whenever used, because who needs food!
No, this was to discourage people (largely DH and some Wizards) from death zerging to fast-forward gearing. If you are spending more on repairs than you make, then this is YOU.
RMAH and GAH do not compete with eachother for the most part. RMAH is where top tier will sell. GAH is where second rate will sell (or get sniped to be re-posted on RMAH).
This change has nothing to do with the RMAH, but the change where your character will expire after 30 days if nothing is purchased and equipped from the RMAH certainly does.
