Maybe when you buy a Grand Exalted Impellor recipe for 1,2 mio, and invest like 50 exquisite essences, 10 tears, and 110k gold and get this: (left one is self found, right one is crafted)
I think I don't have to put it in more words.
Welcome to D3 gambling.
That said, I think it deserved a buff. Changing Exalted recipes from lvl 62 to 63 would be perfect. Extremely low chance of Best-in-slot it for significant price.
It's too bad you only get one craft per recipe..
Can't tell if sarcasm, or ignorance ...
(Once you have the recipe, you have the ability to craft the item permanently. You just need the materials to do it again.)
Heh.
I found 6 Exalted recipes so far, but only the 4-modders. Those, while they can be good, aren't worth it, IMO. The lvl is only 62, and the chance for a godly is waaaaaaaaaaay too low. I'd rather save mats for 6 modders (only armor, weapons aren't worth it even with 6 mods, due to 63s being so much better).
Ah yes, and why exactly would I want to do it again with this kind of outcome. This was like my 6th craft with this recipe, I only showed this off because it was the lowest of all. The others were 500ish damage. When I crafted this, I wasted like already 600k on them, and I could have gotten much better gear for this in the AH.
I think you first error was crafting an ilvl 62 weapon.
Other than that, crafting has very little weight with me either. I craft some grand plans that I have here and there, but it's an occasion that is few and far between.
Haha, definitely sarcasm.
Personally, I've got some great value from the BS, but that's a sentiment that doesn't resonate with a lot of people here. It's probable that I'm just lucky, but I've continuously crafted 1-10m items on 5-mod plans. Even if my buddies have the same plans, they give me the mats to craft for em, because I've got the magic touch haha. For me, the value is there in the BS because while I may rattle off 6 stinkers in a row, that 7th one could pay for them all and then some, for the trouble.
Having fully trained artisans is helpful to my Normal-Nightmare-Hell characters.
They can craft items a couple levels above them, for not too much coin. If they get a good roll, they hold onto the item, and look forward to levelling up to it.
I end up muling crafting mats instead of class-specific items, which takes up less space.
To be honest, I've not found crafting useful in any way. You can get better items on the AH too easily for crafting to be worth it.
I don't have time to predict the future, I'm far too busy building it.
