    Wizard dmg. Numbers stuck.

    30k prebuff.
    33k after.

Upgrading my 800dps wand to 1k spear made the difference but then again I did not see the pre/post patch.
All of my gear is 130intel+/vital/all resist. Half of which is 160+
Source is 94-334. No intel so this can be upgraded.

I'm not getting much damage improvement. How do I hit higher numbers?

Aside from the three magicrectangle suggested, you can also look for legendary/sets that have equivalent Int to your current gear that comes with +% elemental damage increases. Inna's Blessing for example (iirc the belt) has something like +6% holy damage, so if you find one with the same Intelligence as your current belt, you're getting a fairly substantial increase. These gears are few and far between though, and expensive as all hell to find with high stats though.

Critical is where you'll likely get your biggest bang for your buck, but it's still gonna hurt your wallet. High DPS weapons with natural high crit damage plus a socket so you can stick more crit damage on top of that with gems is where the really high damage comes from.

Best equipment slots to upgrade for damage (and if necessary punt defensive stats for offensive) are gloves, amulet and rings, in that order. They're the only places where you can normally get high Intelligence, Attack Speed, Critical Rate, and Critical Damage all together. Of those slots, gloves are (in my experience) the cheapest to upgrade, though by no means is any of this kind of gear "cheap". Rings tend to be the worst upgrade of these per value, because crit rate on them appears to spawn in smaller quantities than gloves/amulets.

Critical rate also spawns on sources (can go high), and helms/bracers (not so high).

When you break it down like this, you start to see where your money is best spent on upgrades. If you're looking to upgrade defensive stats, for example, and can find equal upgrades in pants or gloves for the same price, it makes much more sense to upgrade your pants because the slot is much less flexible.
