My wild theory about Shen

One of the meanings of the word Shen is "God"
If you listened to his conversations, it becomes pretty clear that Shen seems to be a God in disguise.

And what God?
I say he's Anu - or at least his soul.

Aside from just guessing, I think it could be a possibility because Anu reportedly was a being made out of crystals/gems.
Shen is a jeweler and searching for a gem where an evil is trapped that kills everyone who touches it.
Only Shen can touch it, because "everything was already taken from him" - I take it he means his shattered body.

What do you guys think?

I think Malthael is too gloomy to disguise himself as such a quirky guy.

How's this: Shen is not a god, but he was given the task of recovering the jewel by a god. Likely as a punishment for some past misdeeds; perhaps Shen was the one reponsible for letting the jewel losse in the first place.

We all know Cain's coming back as the Angel of Wisdom...that would be interesting though if Shen was the avatar of Anu.

What? I think this has to be a mistake from Blizz.
Malthael seems to be more important than being used for something forgettable like this.
