    LoH - still worth it?

Not really sure of what sort of equipment I should aim for now. Is LoH still worth it, or should I aim at some other weird stat like life per spirit spent? All i know so far is that killing is a lot slower and a lot more boring - even if I can tank forever now in act 2 as long as I have spirit, the mobs just wont die.

So, what do you guys think? Perhaps aim more at high DPS so that the mobs eventually die?

Get more dps switch shield with offhand weapon for more ias that is not nerfed. LoH is still worth it if you have weapon with high BASE attacks per second (like daggers or swords/claws) also LPSS and LoH were hit by ias nerf evenly (unless you use spirit per second items and skills).

Yes, I'd still call it a must have for pretty much every monk. It's maybe about 25% less effective than before, which isn't a huge difference really.

It's definitely still worth it but I'm leaning towards a combination of LoH and Lpss (Life per spirit spent) now.

Re: LoH - still worth it?

Yeah LoH is still pretty much the best stat. I was experimenting with dual wielding 2 LoH weapons (socketed) and it works pretty well. It'll be expensive to get 2 good weapons, as opposed to 1 + shield but it's something to aim for I guess. The loss of the shield didn't seem to affect my dmg mitigation as much as I thought... probably because I'm leeching more. But it's not so good when u come across something with healing reduction, so even if u dual wield u'd probably still want to keep a shield handy in case u come across something like that (Iskatu is probably the best example I can think of off the top of my head).

Re: LoH - still worth it?

I found that out last night, when a rare dagger of much higher DPS dropped for me. I lost 333 LoH and felt it instantly.
On a side note, that LoH weapon had 15% IAS and now has 5%. Took me down 3k DPS.

I am now trying to balance Crit Chance, IAS and LoH. Very tough. I also miss my 2.4 AS.

Re: LoH - still worth it?

Been playing around with LoH today, and it's idd still worth it and probably our most important stat. For sure a "must-have", just like all res on pretty much any piece of equipment.
Funny thing is, AS was nerfed because it was a "must-have". Shouldn't they nerf LoH and all-res etc also then? :o

Btw, I kinda agree with blizz on the new levels on AS. It's still a very good stat, but other stats may now be just as good.

Yeah it's pretty ironic... it's just their excuse to make u gear up the way they think u should. Would be so annoying if they nerf crit next or something...

Just one change in an item affix and the game moves in a whole new direction, gods I love Blizzard

LoH is a must for all monks, if you are low on the number you could invest on a Radiant Star Amethyst, which gives 300 LoH, when placed into weapons.

Re: LoH - still worth it?

Yea LOH is definitely an amazing stat for melee. Considering I seen a Barb with like 2000 LOH sit in Ghoms gas on Inferno and not get hurt due to the amount of life he leached lol. Basically for what I see being on Act 4 Inferno now is that Resistances are key and a faster weapon with Life on hit is as well. Once I get up past that 1000+ life on hit this game will be a joke as a monk for me. Although people have their builds that work as well... this has been working for me just fine.
