That place is so disturbing.

You mean the crickets down there? i remember my first journey through that place and feeling almost immersed till the crickets started.
Crickets in hell? Really?
Or i guess you mean those giant things? those are trapped... giant things that create azmodan's siege weapons or somthing.

Are you talking about those really big humanoid-beings with nails drilled into their hands and eyes and big chains hooked into their flesh? It almost seems like they're supporting the tower's structure.

Yeah I agree, it's really disturbing first time, but I thought what was really freaky is that when you get the Cydaea and you're about to destroy the second sin heart, you can see a trail of blood from the centre of the floor where the sin heart is and if you follow it with your eyes, you see a dead humanoid-giant-dude with its chest burst open and heart missing. I thought that was freaky.

The Scoundrel also adden something on that, they are called the Flayed if I recall correctly and the surface that we actually step on is their flayed (amagad!) skin.
