Best paladin for Ubers

Helm: Guillemes w/ Um
Armour: Fortitude (damage) or CoH (resists). Enigma is not better
Shield: HoZ or Exile
Boots: Gores

No, gores are much better than Water walks.

You really need to read the thread, it gives you tons on information on items and why to use them.

mate i did read it... and the question was how can i get resists WHITHOUT that items... if i ask that is coz i dont have the helm and shield (it says sanctuary :s which im LF a good 3sock shield) NOT exile...

Shield, HoZ is better IMO. You get 72 res with Um in it. Exile, you loose resists and gain def.

Helm is easy to get. Are you ladder? EU? I have 2.

For a cheap resist shield, Find a 4 socket paladin shield with 40+ resists (preferrably a Sacred Targe) and shove 4 perfect diamond into it. (I kept using this for 5-6 of my torches, never found a HoZ, probably won't use it if I found one at the time because I couldn't find resist anywhere else to keep it maxed with HoZ, not after Uber Meph's Conviction anyway).

Treachery rune word is a cheap one that comes with ctc Fade, which is an assassin buff that increases resistances by a good amount. The IAS on the armor is also useful for speeding up your smites.

Smoke is another good cheap armor runeword for resists. If you desperately need the resists, then use Treachery to get the buff, then swap to Smoke.

Guillame's face is very easy to find, it's set Winged Helm, chances are you may have passed a few without realising how important it is for smiting (to be honest, the stats on it DO look crap, especially considering that you are a what I assume to be a Hammerdin). Several P Gems would get you it easy.

Gore rider's might not be so easy, Unique War Boots, but it shouldn't be hard to find a cheap one for p gems if you are ladder.

Nm/Hell meph both drop it on a regular basis, NM is easier.

The Sanctuary is in a paladin shield with a resist all?

It's always a good idea to mention these kinds of things in the OP. Quality question = quality answer

Without resist from your armour you can use Salvation while against Meph. With a Grief PB you'll still attack fast enough without Fanat to keep your life up and kill him in good time. As they said: Use Gores and trade Guillaume's Face for a couple of p-gems (running for a specific item is usually frustrating, even when it's fairly common). HoZ and Sanctuary are both good, though Spirit in a pali shield is also fine. Spirit gets you some FCR to tele with and more light res than HoZ (you'll lose some stats though).

Yeah, I should have mentioned that if you were to make ANY shield related runeword in shields (Exile, Sanctuary or even the basic Spirit), always make them in Paladin Shields, as sometimes they come with inherent resists, as well as some of the highest base block shields and improved smite damage (though the latter won't matter a lot).
