    Normal Diablo strategies?

    Hi.

I've beaten Diablo on Normal on a Softcore DH before but just died in the Shadow realm at Level 32 with a decently geared Wizard. I just archived the character so don't think I can check stats (correct me if I'm wrong, please, I'd love to know). Ran an Arcane Hydra/Disintegrate/Electrocute/Magic Weapon build with a decently geared Templar.

Build: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...RSP!aXd!aZZaaa in hindsight I should have adjusted for the big boss fight, but I think the problem was more game play and not being really familiar with the fight - AND THE BIG ONE: not knowing if I could reset the fight and get out once things go bad. I guess maybe before next time I should bring my old Softcore DH out of retirement and run the fight a few times til I have it down pat.

Q: is there a way to exit out of the fight once you realize it's taking way longer than you thought and you've gone through your ten potion cooldowns (I did load up before the fight, but didn't think I'd have cause to burn more than ten potions)?

Next up will probably be a Barbarian (dual or 2H) or a Monk (same) if you could point me to Hardcore guides I'd appreciate it. My Wizard build came mostly from http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/s...eaker-farming)

Q2: Is Level 32 a bit low for this, assuming decent all-Rare gear with mostly +Vitality gemming. Keep in mind I'm a decent player, but certainly not the quickest or most knowledgeable. For reference I took Hell's Ancients in HC SP D2X on /players 6 or so with a Strafe Amazon, so not a total noob but not God's gift to gaming, either.

    Re: Normal Diablo strategies?

Hey! And welcome to the HC community

    Answer for Q:
You can't quit a boss fight once you've started.

32 should be alright, i think i was around that level when i finished normal with my barb.

My main tips would be looking at the auction house for good gear every few levels and check for gear with high vit and your main stat on it. Also get a new weapon on the cheap for every 5 or so levels.

If you start a new character there are threads for all characters here in the Hardcore section where several skill-builds are posted in. Also there is a stat thread for boss clearing here where you can check the stats people had when they killed bosses on different difficulty levels.

Best of luck to you =)

there is a wiz one floating around i think.

i don't recall normal, however on a monk with no idea what the fight would bring i had no issues.

Buy a square ruby and a socketed weapon from the AH.
