where are you guys getting your gold????? Are barbs good at gold farming?

some of you guys are spending 1 or 2 million gold per item , just where are you farming this?
I'm in inferno act 1 and if i play an hour or two i might get 150,000 after repairing or such, so i'm wondering how much you guys play too....lol.... I have a friend who has played twice as many hours as me and has only gotten like 1.5 million gold all together and he is right in inferno too.
The average player can't afford these things at this rate, right now i have 285000 gold, it will take me probably 3 weeks of playing 1 or 2 hours a night just to hit a million.
So where is the sweet spot? is the barb a bad gold getter? Or do i have to create a new char just designed to get gold? thanks for any answers.
And by the way i keep getting tomes of jewelcrafting and such but the artisan says i need pages , where do those fall,, never seen one fall, just tomes.

They have this much gold because they did chest runs, goblin farming, smashed pots of ashes etc all before blizzard nerfed those particular methods, they farmed iLvl 63 items from act 4 chest runs at zero risk and sold them for like 100,000,000 to other chest runners/goblin farmers.

That's your answer. You may not like it, but it's the truth.
And every morbidly overgeared barb who is able to solo act3/4 inferno is the result of that plus being fed items by the flist.

100+ hours in game and I have so far collected 3 mil gold. Enough to buy a chewing gum on the AH.

The biggest sale I had was 450k for some boots. And that's it. I feel if you're not exploiting, it's almost impossible to get to good gear right now, as nothing good drops, and everything on AH is way over my budget.

I sold some bad pants for 3.5 euros yesterday, after doing that i used all my gold (2 millions) to buy 2 équipments (one at 800k and one at 1.2 million) and sold each of them for 9-10 euros. I plan on buying some gold when it's possible and do it again.
Really the RMAH is completly insane right now and probably a good way to make some gold once you'll be able to buy gold on it.

Also i personnaly don't care about having a lot of gold since i consider buying in the auction house cheating hence don't do it (except for resell).

Me and my friends tend to do Act 1 Inferno runs, we start on the broken blade quest chain right after skeleton king. It gets us 90k-100k per hour. Then we sell any items of value even if they only sell for 4-5k. You can get to the spider queen in under an hour and she will drop 2-3 rares. Or you can get to Butcher in 2.5 hours.

Also I started buying @Resist, Str, Vit gear when I hit 60. So I can usually sell my old pieces for half of my new one which has helped a lot. I spent 900k on my helm of command and sold my yellow helm with 40@Res, 30Str, 60Vit, 1Socket for 700k.

The other key thing is patients in the AH I bought an amazing belt and shoulders for like ~200k each. Both have 80+ Str, 65+ Vit, 55+ @Res, and 5+ Life%.

Most of mine has just come from selling items on the AH.

I did Watchtower+Butcher runs for like a week getting the gear to survive in A2. I then moved on to Ruins+Maghda runs for another week collecting money and gear for A3. I found a Stormshield in The Ruins while doing that.

I've been farming A3 for the last week and a half, and I've found quite a few nice things. The highlights were probably an Oculus and another rare Wizard OH that i found on back-to-back days last week that sold for 30mil and 20mil, respectively. I've found plenty of other stuff worth 1-5mil too.

I'm not really sure where this "the only people that have money farmed chests and goblins" attitude came from, but it certainly isn't true. I tried to include areas in my runs (Watchtower, Ruins, Underbridge, Keep Depths 1) that had chests, or at least a chance for a chest, but they were just a bonus, and i never remade games if they weren't there.

Pretty much all my gold/blizz balance has come from buying and selling on AH. I traded a lot with IAS+dex gloves when they were the **** and made a good amount of gold from that.

I farm Act3 nightmare with my alt DH. Start the game with the quest Kill Azmodan, take the wp to the Bridge of Korsomething and rush to the end without clearing Cave of Frost or Underbridge.

With 201% gold find (276% with NV), I gain 300K+ gold per hour, 1 run takes 17 minutes (selling blues and rares to merchants too).

You sound like someone who has never played diablo series but feels the need to come to the forums and tell the whole world how unfair it is. Obviously you have no idea how much time u needed to invest in smashing vases/weapon racks in act4 to get something remotely valuable other than blue gear and last time i checked killing goblins is a legit way of getting gear so i don't know what exactly is your problem. I saw you posting in another thread about a barb who solo'd inferno, his gear was good but not overgeared by far, there's always room for improvment so please stop your hateful spewing on everyone else who are working hard in this game to actually beat it and not whine on forums.

On topic, people are running Dank Cellar on inferno just before Old Tristram. With enough gold find gear its very profitable netting you anywhere in 100k-500k an hour IF done correctly and efficiently.
