On topic: Is there a particular reason why someone would need "x" magic find? (You said 220 in the title, 250 in the actual post, so I don't know which you meant.) What's the significance of having a specific amount? Is there something I don't know?

it was a typo It was meant to say I have 250.

If 1 guy has 100MF and another person has 250. it averages it out with other people.

RNG is random. Also it doesn't affect the quality of the loot (as in the affixes rolled), it only affects the number of rares/magics, in that with higher MF, a dropped item of a certain type is more likely to be the magic/rare version (as in D2).
