Re: Re-hello and some questions about RW bases

ilvl is the important part, adn there is a list somewhere of the needed ilvl for 3 sockets. Still, if you found it anywhere in hell it should be fine.
I had no idea they acted like masteries. that's amazing.
When you cube socket it doesn't reroll anything, it just adds 1-max sockets depending on what it can get. Too risky for this helm, I think
I don't know whether it is a 66% chance to get 3 sockets in it, or a 33% chance. (depending on whether the recipe can decide to roll it with 3,4,5 or 6 sockets, which would all be considered as 3)

For the cube recipie it rolls 1-max sockets for that item SLOT (then capped by specific item/ilvl), so for helms it would roll 1-3. So in our case I'd only get 33% chance with the right number of sockets. Too risky for sure for this helm, but good to keep in mind for, say, shopped white wands with +3 bonespear.

Re: Re-hello and some questions about RW bases

Ok, I found a 4os Monarch and made Spirit for my future Windy:

    Spirit
    Monarch
    TalThulOrtAmn
    Defense: 145
    Chance to Block: 0
    Durability: 74 of 86
    Required Level: 54
    Required Strength: 156
    Fingerprint: 0x5b94b578
    Item Level: 79
    Version: Expansion 1.10+
    +2 to All Skills
    +29% Faster Cast Rate (25% - 35%)
    +55% Faster Hit Recovery
    +250 Defense vs. Missile
    +22 to Vitality
    +108 to Mana
    Cold Resist +35%
    Lightning Resist +35%
    Poison Resist +35%
    +3 Magic Absorb
Attacker Takes Damage of 14 4 Sockets (4 used)
    Socketed: Tal Rune
    Socketed: Thul Rune
    Socketed: Ort Rune
    Socketed: Amn Rune

Is this shield any good, or should I Hel it and try again? What are the important stats to look for on Spirit, just the FCR right? I'm assuming the magic absorb and mana don't really matter that much. Is it important to get a 35 fcr Spirit? or should I be happy with something say, 33+ ?

I would say stick with whatever you have that meets a decent bp for you, and reroll when you have another base, rerolling the lower of the 2. Ultimately fcr is the main thing to worry about, but if you find mana to be a big deal, and it can be improved upon by 10-20 points, then why not
Magic absorb is cool but i'm not sure how much of an effect it makes.

Re: Re-hello and some questions about RW bases

Spirit roll entirely depends on the breakpoint you want. For wind druid it is 99 and 163. 163 is doable but tough ( and it doesn't really make a difference except in pvp ).

    What I use:
    hoto ( 40)
    magefist ( 20)
    arachnid mesh (20)
    fcr ring- 10
    2/10 ammy- 10
    total- 100

so actually I don't use spirit at all , use whitstan's guard instead, cause I use him for running pits and need blocking.
