Getting Nihlathak quest bug???

So I was teleporting down to Nihlathak to get some experience with my level 98 paladin. With me was a bot who would kill Nihlathak for the 99999999999999th time. I was just lazy and teleporting with him to get the kill. Then suddenly: my quest window pops up. Red portal gone...

Bug?

You must have gotten the WP on the way?

Yes.

But the strange thing is I was sure the bot already finished the quest. And finally I ended up with the same result as well. Luckily my favorite MF spot is CS.
The red portal stays open if you don't get the quest.

I don't think I should have gotten the quest.

3 conditions for getting the quest:

1) Must have killed Nila
2) Must have WP
3) Must finish the quest
