Healing number - how to test coefficients ?

Hello. I was trying to test out the heal per hit coefficient for a few monk ability. I have only the "display healing number" ticked so that I could actually see thoses. But I had fewer number displayed, which were far bigger than what I expected. I have ~500 life per hit, I use Way of the Hundred fist with Fist of Fury (supposedly 370% per 3 attack, 4 healing tick total), and the life tick I see for three attack were ~400, ~400, then ~1000, totaling something more in the line of 400-410%. I suspect my interpretation to be off more than anything, so does anyone know what Diablo III do before displaying healing number ?

it keeps a running total and displays the sum total every half second or so, if you get two hits inbetween "ticks" it'll group them together. e.g. when i use disintegrate vs that first boss in A4 with the swarm of shadows, i get 5-6k heal figures popping up above my head when the individual amounts are a lot smaller.

life regens the same, if you have 600 life regen you'll see approx 300 hp restored twice a second. The frequency of the ticks might be attack speed dependant rather than 1/2 second maybe.
