Waiting for the 5th one and it was no longer needed. Coach decision i suppose, captain taking the last one resposability...
Yes, that happens often.
Well its ridiculous
It's pretty dumb to let the best one shoot last, although you might need one with good nerves for it. Ronaldo should have shot the first or fourth penalty IMO, that would have been a better way of taking responsibility, something which is to be expected from the captain - a position which he has obtained for a reason which I don't know. I guess he wanted to shoot last, so he will be in the center of attention in case of a victory. If it was the coach's decision: Wrong decision. The good ones have to shoot those penalties on which it depends in any case and converting the first one takes away a bit of the nervosity.
I think Ronaldo is the most vain football player I ever saw. The show which he plays during free kicks, embarassing!
BTW, he got yellow for rolling again. It seems he tries it once per game, although it has generally become better with Portugal. If a random Portuguese player is doing it, well OK, yellow or red for that and that's it, but it should below the standards of the best player in world. It's pathetic.

Don't think it's the players decision. Coach must have the last word, of course every player should be able to say if he is up to the task.
Imagine it was the spanish players to miss two penalties and Portugal none, Ronaldo would have no kick and Portugal would still win. It's not about the spot light in this case. That last penalty does take so much more responsability.
He is vainbut, then again, he's the best (ofcourse i'm portuguese so don't give me that crap about Messi)

.. and even though I was rooting for the Germans I must admit Italy won fair and square. Surprising outcome to be honest. Looking forward to Sunday already!
