Thinking about it again, I have to admit Deutschland is the favorite. Let's hope for a great match with lots of goals.

Hm yeah, I agree. Holland will probably not win vs Germany. My guess for tonight is that Portugal will win from Denmark and Germany will beat Holland. This way Holland will still be in the cup and have a chance to beat Portugal (which will also not be easy). So far I really don't have a good impression off the Dutch team. A lot of ego, not a lot of team play.

And let's hope the goalkeeper from one of those nations doesn't attempt to remove the head of an opposing player.

I actually won both my bets! Portugal only because of the win, but the Germany game I even had the score right! 2nd place now in the betting poule at my working place

Holland can still qualify. They have to win versus Portugal with 2 goals difference while Germany wins against Denmark and I think that's the most probable result.

My only hope now is Holland beats Portugal by an innings and 32 goals, and Germany goes into liquidation and gets points deducted.

Portugal, if they face England, will play-act their way throughout the match and win. Germany, if they face England, will get unlikely, quantum-mechanically, unfeasibly good luck throughout the match, and win.

I'd rather watch Denmark or Holland beat England by a cricket-score margin, than sit through yet another Portugal/Germany vs England match.
