Hey guys, here's my Monk Dodge Tank build, the guide explains how to solo farm Act 2 Inferno with 5 stacks of Nephelem Valor and kill Belial.
Here's the build I'm using: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...dhg!UYX!ZaZbca
Use the fastest attack speed weapon you can find (no less than 1.4 ideally), with a piece or two of Increased Attack Speed (IAS) gear you should be around 1.7 (or more, the more the better!). Keep Sweeping Wind up on large packs / elite packs, combined with Backlash damage this spec can actually kill things very quickly while still being a defensive tank build. In multi-player games, where you are solely a tank, swap Sweeping Wind for Breath of Heaven for extra survivability and healing.

btw you mentioned in your video that Firechains / desecrater are Fire damage affixes oddly enough they are not :P Neither is mortar ;
only Molten is Firedmg.
and from blizzards point of view i understand that decision i just think its dumb that its nowhere mentioned except for the official strategy guide.
well and its also dumb because of "FIRE-chains" is kinda indicative ... yet its not fire damage ...
Edit: i also saw that you have 25% critical strike chance ; thats quite alot i would consider using the last rune of Sweeping wind ; that will increase your overall dps considerably especially vs smaller groups of targets. but also vs bosses like belial... give it a whirl ; i love it.
I read it on these forums somewhere ... from someone who bought the official game guide ... though i have no idea what the thread name was ; or which section ... i think general or theorycrafting :X
That's really crazy. I kept wondering why there were so many fire damage abilities. So I assume they both just do physical then?
I'm hesitant without some kind of confirmation on it, but I am going to be Googling hard later today. If you find any confirmation, please let me know because that would be a very good piece of information to have
i still couldnt digg up the thread i was referring too ... though i found this thingy:
http://www.diablowiki.net/Boss_Modifiers
I also remember from the thread that the damage type "standart" was used though i have no clue what this means ...Desecrator
Desecrators create a "glowing void zone" beneath the feet of a character. These function like small Firewalls, dealing damage to any character who stands in them. The void zones do not move once cast, and can thus be avoided without great difficulty.
- Monster Level Minimum: 22
- Available to: Rare/Champion
- Damage Type: Physical
- Additional Resistances: None
Fire Chains
Fire Chains appear and disappear rapidly, linking Champions with flaming chains that deal fire damage to nearby players and their minions. This property only appears past Normal difficulty, and only on Champions. (Not on bosses.)
- Monster Level Minimum: 31
- Available to: Champions
- Damage Type: Standard
- Additional Resistances: None
Grenadier
Grenadier. Formerly known as Mortar, this modifier makes the boss or Champion constantly emit a spray of grenade-like explosives that travel some distance, making such enemies more dangerous to ranged attackers than to melee.
- Monster Level Minimum: ?
- Available to: Bosses and Champions.
- Damage Type: ?
- Additional Resistances: None.
maybe standart is physical ... maybe standart is neither of the elements and can only be mitigated by Dodge and Armor ?
Edit : also found this post from someone who also got the official game guide

I don't know how accurate this Strategy Guide is but:
molten damage type: fire
fire chains damae type: standard(?)
desecrate damage type: physical
mortar damage type: physical
Says Desecrate and Mortar are physical damage despite their bright orange/red effect. And Fire Chains is standard? Dunno what the hell that means, but I dont know, something to think about.
Great work, and thanks! Hopefully someone tests this in the future, but at least for now we have verification from the guide. I'll add a footnote to my video description regarding this.
Regarding stacking Dodge - and l apologize beforehand since l am sure this has been covered many times before - do you really feel you need all those skills to buff it up even further? I have noticed that when l reach 40-50% the skills give nowhere near the full listed benefit, but instead around 30% of what the tooltip says. I try to focus on other defensive stats when l reach that point. And like someone pointed out: with that much crit you should really try the last rune for Sweeping. It's good dps and a lot of fun when all of a sudden 5 of those orbs just burst out and wreck havoc. The range of their lightning is really far as well. I think Backlash proccs them as well, but haven't tested it a lot yet. At work atm so l'll leave that in your hands.
