    Post Critique my build?

I Haven't been 60 long and just started on inferno. I've been looking in several places for character builds and I was wondering if I was going in the right direction. Thank you (:

I used to use chant of resonance. But I stopped using it because, firstly I was refreshing my mantras often anyway to get the active effect, and secondly the +spirit regen wasnt nearly as effective as using fists of thunder to build spirit.

If you have a fast weapon and decent resists then you wont have a problem building spirit. (at least i didnt find it to be a problem)

Also, if you have decnet resists, 30k HP is plenty. Once you reach that much you should try and focus more on other stats (eg. dex attackspeed, +health on hit/+health on spirit spend).

And personally I go with Mantra of evasion. (just my opinion)

    Good luck!

    Re: Critique my build?

I used to play monk till act 3 inferno but now I have switched to wizzard. I think I could give you some advice on how to easily make your way though act 1 and how to improve for act2/3/4.

First of all, 40k HP for act 1 is fine but you will certainly need 50K for act 2 and probably some more for act 3. From what I see you have 40K HP with +12% Life only, you should improve that in order to increase your HP (possible to 30-40%). Same goes for your resistances. nearly 400 resistances can be enough for act 1 but you definately need over 800 for act 3, and with the current difficulty spike in act 2, you really need to gear up through smart buys in the AH. All these will come with time. My char could faceroll act 1 after 100 hours of played time and goes well in act 3 after 140 hours played.

The most important thing: Your armor is TOO low. You need about 5k-6k armor without buffs in order to stop dieing from everything. How will you achieve that? Of course you will slowly upgrade gear though farming and AH purchaces but my advice is you should get a top-tier shield. Try to find a shield with 1k+ armor, high block ratio (16-20%) with high block value (over 2.5-3k) and try to get one that has 10%+ life on it to really increase ur hp (look at this as a future proof buy). I personally got really boosted by buying a shield with 1530armor, 18%block with value 3-4k (the best tier shield) and 7% HP. Not the BEST ever, but these stats (plus some dex vit and crit) on it were a good buy for 1.5million on AH. I know, it might seem hard to gather so much gold, but in act 1 it can happen in 2 days of playing tops.

As Hwaygo says above, Matra of evasion (together with the glyph for extra 20% armor) is better. Why? because you get about 10% dodge (diminishing returns) and increased armor. As a monk its cake to increase resistances anyway because of your passive, you just focus on 1 type of resistance. Note that EVEN the +hp/sec mantra has terrible diminishing returns (or the tooltip is wrong), which makes it rubbish actually. Also, you should idealy gear-up for more dexterity (will also increase armor) and also use enchantress as companion cause she has good CC and increases your armor.

Now, quickly throught the skills. In the passives I would rather have "62 life gained per spirit spent" rather than the mantra passive. You will have enough spirit anyway if you can stand and fight without needing to run away from mobs (and stop hitting).
I want to stress out the importance of using Deadly reach with Keen armor glyph as main attack: your hit is slightly ranged, which makes situations MUCH easier to handle and to get $***loads of armor. My advice is that you should use that ability until you manage to have 10k armor without using it.

I actually have to go so if you wish, I could tell you some more things about blinding flash and healing spell another time.

I would look into getting blinding flash and breath of heaven. Maybe not both but they definately help
