    Jump from Normal to Nightmare

    Hi all,

I've just started Nightmare mode at Level 42, and for the first time it's really a struggle! My Dire Wolves are still taking care of everything nicely, but my Werebear character doesn't seem to be dealing any significant damage, and it's quite difficult to get around :/ on the character screen, my attack damage is 208 - 346 with HoW active but it just seems to be absolutely no help whatsoever! (I'm using a great maul (with increased attack speed to Fast) if that changes anything.)

Yeah, I'm not really sure how to progress. Any advice? :/

Right, what kind of build are you using?
It seems like you are using some kind of summon build ( dire wolves + grizzly + HoW ). In which case you shouldn't really be surprised if your werebear isn't doing much damage.

The second reason is that you don't have any good weapon. You can trade for a cheap, effective weapon ( eg. steeldriver martel der fer ) quite easily, and that will boost your werebear damage.

Finally, if your wolves are killing everything just fine, then why does it matter if the character doesn't do damage?
    Use grizzly in tough areas.

I guess you're right (yeah, summon/Werebear build), but it just seems like my Werebear should have the capacity to deal decent damage, regardless his summons or not. I recall my last Druid - Fire/Summon druid - dealt some nasty melee damage without casting spells. I just though it was a little bit strange, that's all.
