Alright, thanks!
Just one question zakaluka do you item hunter have any magic find?
If so then numbers are meaningless unless you got proof that MF dont effect ilvl of drops in any way.
The most important thing about the patch is not nerfing, but balancing.
Right now, you won't get ilvl63 items anywhere but on Act 3 & 4
After the patch, you can get all of them even in Act 1.
The possibility of getting the "best" items in the game in Act 1 Inf + lower dmg output of monsters in Acts 2-4 will be a game changer.
Doesn't matter if the droprates decrease because we'll be able to progress easier than before.
I dunno man. I take it as a given that mf has no effect on drop ilvl at all. That the game chooses a completely random item type from a table, then chooses based off your MF score wheter or not to upgrade its quality. This is how it worked in d2, and I assume it works the same in d3. I'm willing to bet this is a reasonable guess, but hey, really, who knows.
This data was collected with 0% MF, but at the whole range of NV stacks.
Yes, I agree 100%. I am overjoyed that farming in the most difficult act you can do with your chosen build will be rewarded. I don't particularly care if they "tune" the progress curve by lowering average drop ilvl. Unlocking that top tier in all acts is a huge step forward for this game.
This may actually be a problem. MF itself shouldn't change item levels (if it works as in D2, and Blizzard suggested it does). However the NV buff gives you additional guaranteed (magic+ for the first ones, rare+ for the last ones) boss drops which may very well now follow standard loot table.
