@Crude
THe water ways have some stairs that lead up a bit, lead them there then on the other side of the stairs and let them kill u.
Then return again shoot from far and lay some traps.
Invulnerable minion + Reflect damage, aka "that skipped pack in the corner".
I like all of them, even invul. Adds challenge. However, maybe there is too big of a challenge gap b/n regular monsters and elite packs which have what, 20 times more health?
No combos needed, just plain mortar. I pretty much have to skip anything with mortar in Inferno. How do you dodge those? By going in close so they can hit you directly? No thanks. Slow Time does NOTHING to slow them. 90% slowed projectiles my ***. Does anyone have 24% movement speed, and does this help?
Btw, I'm using a 15k health pure farmer with high mf and gf. Yeah...I might have to rely on some def gear instead of skills.
Thanks for insights, guys.
I'm trying to get straight all the differences between Horde and Illusionist: Horde does not seem to spawn on champions, only on bosses. Illusionist can be either.
Illusions are shiny silver hue, have very low hps, and don't do much/any dmg, but they can still trigger effects with their shots, such as nightmarish....
Screenshot from a fun illusionist/frozen desert wasp pack my DH encountered some time ago. Yes, there were wasps. I didn't get a screen during the craziest moments, but I had easily upwards of 150 BBs visible, a few times.
The most important difference between Horde and Illusionist is how the Templar responds to them.
Id say Arcane + (Plauged/Molton) +(Shield/Invul Minions) +Motors.
Any monster that can already shoot things at you wasps/summoners or teleport themselves (Phase beasts) are what I find hardest
Just, well, dodge them. Occasionally they will shoot where you are going or behind you, you just need to pay attention to the projectiles. It's a real pain when you are moving down, though, because you cannot judge where the projectiles are going to land thanks to camera angle and lack of vision in general (Mortar in Towers of... Act 3 is god awful to deal with). No combos needed, just plain mortar. I pretty much have to skip anything with mortar in Inferno. How do you dodge those? What you can do is go down to Nightmare or Hell mode, find a Mortar pack, and practice dodging their attacks there.
Act2 inferno Shaman - Dahlgur oasis - rare pack (4) illusionist, extra health, very fast, arcane. I am a barb and every one I chased turned out to be an illusion while the others ran away and spawned more illusions and some arcane at me. Even some of the arcane was an illusion. I couldn't kill them but they couldn't kill me. I started to go slightly insane after 3 mins and left the mob there but it would follow me all over the map so I quit game.
Well on inferno anything invulnerable simply gets skipped.
Arcane + Plagued + molten/fire chains - seems to deal massive dmg compared to many other combos.
This was "memorable" in the sense that it was the first mob i skipped on inferno.
And ofcourse vampiric + desecrator can be very difficult due to phys dmg leech.
