Here's my first inferno elite pack. Note how I'm running away.
Yes, I eventually killed them.
I'm not sure why photobucket isn't using the full resolution. Also not sure why it's getting chopped off. I'd like to get it to display as a thumbnail with a link to the full size. I'll work on that. (edit: huh, now it's doing it...)
Edit: Also, be sure to resave the images in your favorite editor so the image size isn't too huge. This pic was originally 912KB, but it became 351KB after saving in Paint.

This one was with my barb a few days after release. I remember they were fast and invulnerable + something nasty like knockback, a screen away there were jailer somethings. I had to respec to 'charge/leap/ignore pain/donno/etc' so I can get past. Level 2 was just down the corridor.

This one is from yesterday I believe with my wizard. They do not seem too nasty but the big guys were fast, fire chains, waller, something bad. I tried bursting them down with archon two times but I could only manage to bring them down to 20% or so before the mortars from the other guys got me.

I posted this in the Mondaily, but I can share it again! Just an Inferno A2 pack of ugh

Yeah, I saw that the other day. Now it makes me want to go level my monk.
I'll share a couple from today's Siegebreaker runs.
I had to fight these guys in that small area near the waypoint. Got them down eventually thanks to GY ressing.

Screenshotted this one more for the name... A real pain to kill.

EDIT: Just have to add this one to the mix. A real game killer right there. Fortunately I only had one stack of NV before leaving the game. I'm very much looking forward to patch 1.0.3.

I'm not particularly enjoying playing D3. And if I needed an intervention to make me stop, this was it...

Long video, but you'll get the general idea within 10 seconds.
Was this before or after patch 1.0.3? Either way, that's pretty rough. I can see Nightmarish being perhaps the most difficult mod for melee characters to deal with.
My monk is almost level 56 in act 2 of hell, and my skills are pretty similar to yours.
More screenshots:
I'm getting screenshots of most of the elite packs I come across in inferno, but of course only posting the most interesting ones.
This pack was very hard to deal with. I wanted to switch skills, but I already had 5 stacks, so I really couldn't.
Packs like this are usually pretty easy since they're slow moving, but teleport makes them pretty hard. Jailer is not a problem when you have mirror image and teleport.
I seem to remember these guys being pretty difficult.
This combination of mods is possibly the worst, though I don't remember if I really had a hard time with this pack. Vortex is more or less dealt with by keeping teleport at the ready, but I'm pretty sure they can vortex you more often than you can teleport.
D3 hasn't really offered the type of gameplay experience that I wanted (or expected, I suppose). Overall 1.03 made the game easier for me (save for the ridiculous, clearly bugged, boss packs), but crippling IAS basically became a nerf to fun. As it happens I've been under the weather for a while, and not playing computer games at all has been a relatively easy choice. I don't intend to leave D3 to rot, I think I can probably tinker with the AH to maintain some reasonable level of gearing so that as patches come and go, I'll be able to settle into the game when it suits me more. My expectation is that as time increases, the differences from D1/D2 will decrease and I'll find a lot more to enjoy.
I have a pet little project for making a charge Barb, when I get all the gear I'll certainly go out hunting down some more ridiculous boss packs to post here
Anyway, this is rather OT, I'll not derail the thread more.
