Last week I decided to try tempest rush for nearly the first time, thought it was crap but now at level 60 with good spirit generation and regeneration I've found out it is really amazing. Only problem I have is half the time I use it to get out of dangerous situations (most of the time) there seems to be some kind of delay or server glitch and after moving a few yards I magically appear in the original spot, like if every mob had the vortex skill.
It is really frustrating because on top of that, for example I use it to move out of a desecrated spot and after a second or two I got moved back to the same spot, only the server thinks I never moved and I take the whole damage as if I had been standing still the whole time. Drives me nuts because in inferno it often means insta death or close to it. Also sometimes makes the game go out of sync with the server, meaning I can be 15 yards away from a bunch of melee mobs and taking damage as if I were on the middle of the crowd. Anyone else experiencing this? I may point out this has happened since the last patch even with latency under 100ms, on the EU servers.
ye i have the same problem with demonhunter movement skills ; or sudden increases in ms due to tactical advantage and the use of vault.
and ye in inferno it is most certainly death especially as dh ...
i suppose they've done a poor job at making position checks etc .
Pisses me off. Couldn't use it for the same reason. I have heard others make a similar complaint.

Yes, it causes "tearing" or some sort of desynchronization between the client and the server. It's very noticeable when being Jailed or Vortexed.
It's really frustrating to hear that this is not just happening to me, because I also despised Tempest Rush until I threw it on in early hell, mid-50s, with lots of spirit regen. It's SO FUN TO USE, and imo not game-breakingly useful mobility-wise, given the meager-at-best DPS. For me it's a fantastic flavor/utility tool in the Monk's otherwise kinda-boring kit.
But even in Hell it's getting rough, I can't imagine Inferno. I've rushed out of many a nasty situation only to wake up as late as 5 seconds later in an alternate timeline where my monk chose to let his hands drop to his sides and engage in some gaping-mouthed tanking action.
It is a pity to be honest. We just have two mobility skills. Had to drop this one because of this issue, and the dashing strike it's useless half of the time, just takes a bit of sideways movement by the mob to interrump the dash. Also the root effect doesn't always kick in. In the end I am left with no mobility skills at all, just because they are glitched, whatever the cause. Now I use the kick with the added knockback distance for defense, problem is if you get surrounded by shielded/invulnerable mobs doesn't work also, oh and mobility wise it is not as useful.
Worst thing is, the issue being probably caused by the way things are handled from the servers, I fear we won't see a fix for a long time, if at all.
