Diablo 3: Let down or satified?

Whilst this may just be my D2 rose colored glasses speaking, D3 whilst being a lot of fun, pales in comparison to D2 (IMO). It's an ok game, but it has issues as others have stated. Gameplay is fun, freespec removes the incentive to create multiple characters of the same class, items have issues, and the always online DRM is not something I support. The story, man don't get me started about the story and plot holes... Anyway despite these gripes I'm still having fun with the game, here's improves over time as D2 did.

Going back to your original claim, how does my poll elicit negative responses? You seem to be constantly moving the goal posts here.

I already told you this. "Completely satisfied" is your only positive option - lofty praise for any game and a position that I don't think many people hold about this game or any other. So perhaps the poll doesn't encourage negative responses as much as it discourages the positive one, if we want to get pedantic about it.

I wouldn't say it is equally extreme since it is probably the case with many people that they are let down by the game but also think it is a good game.

I don't see how one could say Diablo 3 is a good game but a let down. In what way would it be a let down if it's a good game? Seems to be contradictory. The people who are let down were let down because they thought D3 would be a good game, but it wasn't.

I mean, "let down" is by definition the difference between one's expections and reality. I think some people were so hyped up about this game for so long, that their expectations were high enough that any quality of game released was going to be some level of a let down. In fact, posts along the lines of "game is good/great but I can't help but feel let down" have been pretty common around here.

But the poll option isn't that you were let down on any level, it is that Blizzard completely let you down.

I think this has to do with people not being articulate. Obviously, a person couldn't think D3 is a great game, and yet, be let down, unless they were expecting a perfect game. I haven't read any posts here where a person has said they think D3 is a great game, but they were let down.

That, and the third poll option is, "Blizzard really let me down with Diablo 3," not "I am a little let down." In order to be really let down, the game would have to fall very short of your expectations, whatever they may be.

Big let down for the following reasons...

1. Itemization is is so screwed up its insane. Blues > Legendarys. Today I saw a a blue level 27 piece of gear > than a level 32 rare. Hello ? How can this even be ?
2. Story is horrific. Who wrote this stuff ?
3. Elemental damage from foes are not balanced. My characters last all of 3 seconds when fire damage is being displayed.
4. Forced to use the AH. If you aren't using the AH then you aren't going anywhere. It is almost like pay to win.
5. Too colorful for a Diablo game.
6. Dungeons are too short an are pretty much a copy/paste throughout the entire game. There are some exceptions but unfortunately not enough.
7. Randomization fails. If there is any noone notices the difference.
8. Crafting is like gambling which is bad. I can waste all my materials trying to get a piece of gear with the right stats on it.

We all waited 11 years for this ? So can't wait for the Torchlight 2 release.
