This sounds really interesting. I'm in Act IV of NM so I don't yet have the two level 60 runes (or much/any life on hit gear) but I'm going to try it anyway (using Warcry - Invigorate for life per second, temporarily).
Im testing it atm,
my current stats are the following:
50k DPS ( /w ruthless)
40k HP
750+ Allres (physical 750, others same or higher, with shout)
9k armor (with 1 armor passive and shout)
3%LL, 300LOH, 43% crit, +230 critdmg, using shield (20% block).
Without the build i was easily able to farm Kuhle+Belial, however was unable to farm act 3.
With the build, taking down Kuhle and Belial became way harder, however, taking on multipple boss packs became fairly simple.
Atm testing otu act 3/4. Im able to do it way better then before, but ranged boss packs that dont tend to chase you become nearly unmakable, will try to improve my LOH

I just finished act2 with this build with great success with 1hand/shield combo.
One question, does Attack Speed affect the rate of which your tornados hit?
My attack speed is low and was wondering if I should stack faster attack speed or not.
I'd to try the WW variant of this for something different, it's to my understanding that to make this work you are going to need high crit and life on hit in addition to the normal stats? If so about how much do you recommend?
I've tried this before with ~35% crit and 400 LOH and failed miserably.
According to the few tests i did, yes it does.
I currently have more then 2.5 aps and i'm working towards having even more attack speed and over 1000 LoH. Even with mediocer resist (about 500), okeish armor (7000) and aweful HP (33K) i can tank about anything that doesn't one shot me. My crit chance is about 25% i believe.
@ Darksteel: The video is kind of misleading imo, the way i take on most mobs is to tank them with Frenzy, pop Sprint and then WW through the mob pack or in and out of the mob pack and then use Frenzy again (the stun variant). WW is basically more of a way to tactically reposition while doing some damage and leeching some life (and spawning some tornadoes with Sprint). I think a fast attack speed is essential to make this build work properly.
I personally like Furious Charge (Merciless Assault) in my build instead of WW for a few reasons.
1. 195% instant damage. (WW 110%)
2. Kills big groups quickly when you chain Furious Charge together.
3. Knockback. Great Interrupt. (WW does not)
4. Less risk. You can charge through mobs dropping tornados and end up safely (hopefully) on the other side.
5. Furious Charge can break Jailers. (WW does not)
6. Generates Fury. This makes this a great opener instead of generating fury through Frenzy/Bash/Cleave.
7. Better escape/chase mechanism against fast mobs
wow... dont know yet about the barb skills(have only level 25) but the way it explained it i imagine it to be so much fun. Gonna level my barb soon enough!
Im getting excited, its a sight to behold!
I have been tweaking and testing some build variations and found that Wotb runed with Slaughter synergizes quite well. Much better than Insanity or Thrive on Chaos imo. Slaughter gives a chance to hit 155% aoe weapon damage with includes the main target.
Don't forget that the 155% aoe splash also has a chance to crit as well! So when you face a champ pack of typically 1-4 elites + garbage mobs, the number start flying and things start melting.
The actual eruption of blood animation is not very obvious but you will notice the damage it does.
Note: I have 40% crit (with battle rage) and 190% crit damage (with ruthless)
I always wondered if the crits from the effect actually could result in a chain reaction, thanks!
