Yes, yes it does. As long as you have 2 rejuvs minimum (and a belt of 3 slots or more) then you can sell one, and shift-buy a slot back. Rinse and repeat. I totally forgot about it, though.

A few years ago I played 1.07 and worked up a zealot (no muling or anything, yeesh) to around level 85 in SC. This was before I knew really anything about the game, like the fact that most items can't drop, and everything is bugged to hell. So I should at least have some of that familiarity when I try it out again.
I remember when I started playing 1.12 (right before 1.13 came out) with a friend and we made it to baal and when he didn't 1-hit me with the manaburn attack I was so shocked and I thought "wow, when was he made so easy? I'm pretty sure he was able to 1-hit my 1.07 zealot in NM when I was lvl 80+" lol.

Is the portal to pindle not supposed to disappear once I kill Nihl? Or is it when I get the wp? personalize?
static field and fireball = GG for normal. I was able to easily beat it. Just make sure to keep your distance from baal and diablo. I guess any kind of aoe skill would work as well like orb or blizzard but I did Fireball because of its low level required. Static field is a must though because it is broken in 1.07 you can bring anything down to <25% hp with like 5 casting.
