Yeah I don't like that either. I mean there are sometimes great blues (I just paid 2.5 million for one), but you certainly can't get them off a1 vendor.
So yeah, easiest way to combat this is to ask friends in Inferno to buy blue stuff for yaKornkills helped me out back a week ago by buying me a 360ish weapon at lvl 56
That would be nice for me alsoA friend who buys stuff from inferno. Btw everybody who puts vendor blues into the AH and sells them for millios, is a genius. Usually there are not many good items, all the tri-stat items are either low dps or low on stats (nobody will buy a 30-40 tri-stat armor piece for lvl55) but if I find something I usually sell them for 2 times the price I got it. But seriously, there are overpriced items because of the buyers not because of the sellers.
Now I'm at 30k gold. Yeah, I spent my last coins on an allres str/vit/int rare helm. Too bad I have 10 auctions up and cannot sell my 3-400k gold items:(
agreed! I bought a bow to boost the DPS for 500. Then popped it back on when I was done for 500 and it went easy peasy. I felt like I had helped someone out after getting that same helping hand.
Civerbs cudgel was like godly haha. Love it.
Interesting to hear the difference between higher lvls and low end. I fully expect things to be overpriced. I guess the way to combat it is to undercut those fools, make a profit, and trade that gold for an item you need. I feel like I will be a farming fiend in HC. I didnt feel that desire (yet) in SC though and it has only been 2+ weeks since the game came out? Things should get a little better at least.
I like the HC AH at lower levels but I am not a fan of the HC AH at later levels. Items are a bit too pricey and/or lacking in quality. I think it will get better once folks get some recipe drops and a steady stream of crafted gear starts leveling out the AH prices. Also, Blizz has stated they are gonna reduce crafting costs. Once that happens, more items should start trickling into the AH.
one thing to realize for level 60 items, if it has all resist, it will sell for a large price. if you are not need of all resist, likely, you will find that same item for half or 75% the price.
level 60 weapons from inferno will ALWAYS be over priced. if you are level 60 in hell, looking for a new weapon, look for a 350-420 blue as a one hander ,as that is plenty to progress hell. i think 550? or so for 2 handers is about still hell quality.
hopefully that tip helps a bit, but of course if you see a higher dps wep for cheaper, thats the obvs choice haha. i truly dont bother with selling on ah anymore, i have disconnected myself with the market over the past 5 days. it feels so much different
I find AH prices, at level 52, to be mostly ridiculous. I sell for about 15k, tops, and I also pay about 15k, tops. The HC community is pretty small, and we all know what happens to undergeared players - be kind and help your fellow hardies out.
Depends, Im not gonna hand everything over on a silverplate because other players play hardcore also. And Im actually an helpful person. in the end, the high prices are there atm because there isnt a large playerbase progressed that far, thus they have a monopoly position. Wait untill more people ding 60, the prices will drop soon enough. And by then we all have millions of gold which we cant spend, making it all the more useless. I still cant see how Blizzard will be able to make the goldsinks big enough.
Most of my items sell for 10-20k. Only today after I hit Hell, I found boots with movement speed, fire res, nice dex and vita and sold it for 80k.
And legendary items - my cash cow. 50-75k for crap or average stuff, I still wonder who buys it and why. I don't feel guilty at all, because if people want to overpay for weird orange gear, then it's their choice.
Legendary items are your 'cash cow'?
Exactly how many legendaries have you found?
Bracers and gloves are the things I sell. For some reason there aren't a ton of nice bracers and gloves on the auction house.
